Thread: deal with bobcats

    Default deal with bobcats

pacers trade jeff foster, dahntay jones, and solomon jones to bobcats for matt carroll and nazr mohammed

    why for pacers?
we get rid of the joneses and foster no one likes those 2 players here anyway meaning the joneses we get a decent backup center behind hibbert and matt carroll is a really good shooter and can find time in a rotation of rush-george-carroll and carroll can be a part of our future because hes a really good shooter
with the open roster space we can sign magnum rolle

    why for bobcats?
they get 2 expiring contracts and they really like foster plus djones is an athletic player this will give the bobcats more bench value

there is no reason neither team would do this

    goodbye

Pacer fans don't like Jeff? He's arguably one of the most beloved Pacers in franchise history? What has the guy done to rub you the wrong way? Get hurt? If so, I suppose you don't like Granger, Hansbrough, Price as well?
Stop quoting people I have on ignore!

    lmao

you might be right but i think carroll is valuable and when dunleavy leaves the team hopefully after this season carroll can become grangers backup or rush or geoge's backup

although his contract still has another 3 years on it with around 12-13 million dollars total i think its worth it

those are matt carrolls stats from his career

with time he can be a good player to have come off the bench

thank you for pointing that out i really meant to put down 2

i would never think that jeff is not a beloved pacer after being here for his whole 12 year career

    jeff is like mr pacer

i would miss jeff and would strongly wish for him to return to the pacers organization

I don't know about this. I have a suspicion that Jeff is going to have a very strong second half of the season once/if he gets stronger and healthy. We are going to remember what it is like to have a decent-to-good backup center. We are just preserving him because we know how fragile he is.

    Just a hunch.
