I could easily the heat and magic running out of the building. We aren't anywhere near the quality of those two teams.

I think Ben Wallace still has plenty of basketball in him. Nice piece to have around when developing youngsters. Over-playing you players with the illusion of developing them frequently hurts more than helps, especially in teams without veteran references.

    -------

Watching OKC vs. Utah, Jefferson gaining deep position on Ibaka with ease. Crossing the paint at will too. Ibaka needs to front him every time, he cant' defend Big Al straight up from behind.

Oklahoma needs to reshuffle their interior play, hopefully still this season. Start Aldrich ahead of Krstic as soon as possible; Ibaka needs to play at PF as much as possible and at C only situationally; Collison needs to get back into the rotation ASAP. Green's time at the 4 needs to be downsized, give him Durant's rest minutes.

Currently they have too much Green and too much Ibaka at the 5. Missing Collison.

They need that new big man rotation to be contenders, to be a top-5 team in the West. Right now, their interior play just isn't up to the job.

I'm not saying they should just throw minutes at him, I just think maybe he should get some starts so he can gain minutes against opposing teams' first unit. Probably still a little early for that though.

I don't know. I'm sure we would lose, but they were out of those games by the second quarter. I know we just stunk up the yard against the lowly Sixers, but I think that was an aberration. I can't imagine us losing two straight games, regardless of the competition, by 30+ points.
With apologies to John, Paul George (!), and Ringo,

    Imagine being blown out.
    It isn't hard to do.
    Nothing to play defense for.
    And no good offense, too.

    Imagine all the Pacers,
Just waiting to be paid, ah HA ah ah ah...

With Chicago's loss to New York tonight, we're back in first place! Probably the last time this season we'll get to say that. Relish the moment.

^^^Probably because Yao, Scola, Brad and Jordan Hill are eating up the PF/C minutes.

I totally agree with this. I like Jeff Green, and I think he could be a good third option for a team, but he just does not fit well next to Durant. I've personally been in favor of a lineup of Westbrook/Sefolosha/Durant/Collison/Aldrich for a while now... that team would maul opponents on the boards and would take some of the rebounding burden off of Durant, who can focus on his help defense and scoring. Bring Green/Ibaka/Harden off the bench as your 6th men as matchups/game situations dictate and you've got a great defensive/rebounding first unit and an athletic second unit that can score with anyone.

(TBH I am a little surprised the Thunder didn't try to make a deal like Green/Collison for Paul Millsap or a similar player... I think that would make both teams a little more balanced.)

New York is actually a watchable team for the first time in about 10 years.

The Knicks beat the Bulls with crazy 3pt shooting (they were 14/19 at one point) in spite of Amare Stoudemire best efforts. 14 points on 25 shots, 5 FTs and 8 turnovers. 14 points on 35 possessions while being guarded by Taj Gibson and Brian Scalabrine (even though Noah's help defense was superb). Ugly. Hmm... and it seems he's been struggling bad all season. I've only seen this game of the Knicks plus a small period of the game vs. the Celtics, I wonder what's going on. Yesterday he was forcing too many isos.

He needs Nash, I watched part of the game yesterday and he doesn't look like the same guy.

Chris Paul with a NASTY crossover on James Jones. Jones literally fell down. Paul would later make the shot over Haslem but they called a bull**** charge. CP let his emotions get the best of him and got called for a tech. 2 point game in NO.

Man Bledsoe looks good tonight. I don't know why, but this year's rookie crop is really interesting to me. Blake Griffin, DeMarcus Cousins, John Wall, of course Paul George, Eric Bledsoe...lots of fun guys to watch.

i told u bledsoe will be the steal of this draft glad my 2nd fav team has him. If John Wall wasnt at Ky last yr he would have been a top 5 pick he was a beast in HS as a pg he is a true pg who can shoot
