and he has choked all day he should be tied with Rory at 12 under or so but Rory really choked. He isnt gonna win but it has been fun day to watch. I always watch golf lol.
Yea, amazing how he can play poorly and still come close to winning. Not the same Tiger, but he's coming back. You still see flashes. (The old Tiger, for instance, doesn't choke)

Poor Rory, I wanted to hug him.

    Adam Scott.....

I love Golf..Wie is my favorite to watch though..just never know where that golf ball is going..(although it was more fun a few years ago..) I used to try and pick the hole where she was going to choke..

I wouldn't say Tiger played poorly. He missed some puts, but he was -5 for the day. I would say his short game was pretty off. I mean even if he hit all his puts (today that is) I don't think he would have won.

He missed a ton of puts he normally makes. (Well normally before the knee injury.)

The triple put hole for bogey, plus missing the eagle (short puts he typically makes) puts him at -12. And even though the winner was at -14, seeing Tiger post a -12 when you are -10 is more daunting then seeing Tiger at -10.

LA is struggling. OKC put them away tonight for their 5th straight loss. One more, and they can probably kiss the #2 seed goodbye.

I just want to throw this out there: I think Miami is coming out of the East.

Something that has sort of bothered me ever since Perkins was traded to OKC was why they weren't the best team in the league. They have most likely the best scorer in the game, as well as the explosive westbrook. On defense they're excellent with the Perkins Ibaka combo. I thought that combo would make the match up incredibly well against the Lakers.

Yet it wasn't like they ripped of 20 wins in a row like I almost expected them to.

Well tonight they beat LA in a tough game. However I'm still left with questions. After watching Pau murder Perkins, I'm wondering if in a series will it matter? Can they handle both Pau and Bynum if they go off? Pau has always been the one on the Lakers that steps up in big games to lead them to much needed wins. Whether it was big offensive rebounds, or clutch buckets down the stretch, Pau has come up huge for the Lakers.

Durant is obviously an absolute stud, but the one thing I've never seen from him is that killer instinct that Wade and Bryant both display. That is so important when the rest of your team is not playing up to par.

If Miami is ever losing, and everything se ems to be just going wrong, it's as if Wade was given a mission from God to single handedly annihilate the opposing team. We've seen it time after time. Will Durant do that? In order to beat the Lakers in a playoff series, they HAVE to have that from him.

Now on to the east- As the prior boarder has said I think Miami will be the east representation in the finals. And I don't think this is because they're suddenly the toast of the east. I think it's by default. The Celtics lost a piece of the puzzle when they traded Perkins and now I just do not think there is anyway they can make the finals.

The Bulls I see as the only other legit contender in the east. I don't think they're there yet. Regardless of the record. I don't think they have the players to exploit Miami's weakness, which is key. If you're not exploiting those glaring weaknesses then how are you going to beat a team with literally two of the top 5 players in the NBA?

In a long Bulls/Heat series, the Heat have the ability to throw two elite defenders in Wade and LeBron at Rose all game. On top of this, Wade is a proven playoff stud. He wills his team to wins. I just don't foresee the Bulls beating them in a playoff series.

However, once in the Finals, whether it is the Lakers or OKC, I don't think there's much of a chance the Heat could win against either. Whether it is Pau and Bynum destroying the Heat's frontcourt on both sides of the court, or Ibaka and Perkins averaging 10 offensive rebounds again, I can't see the Heat beating either of them. Despite the advantage of having Wade defend Kobe all game, or LeBron defending Durant all game.

Anywho, that's what I see, though I admit this is merely me musing about what could happen and not a completely serious argument as what actually will happen.

Tiger is in a 5-way tie for the lead at the Masters right now.
Why does an NBA thread need to know this?

I think Boston and San Antonio are going to face off in the finals.. Will be a great series if it goes down.

I got Pacers/OKC. The ultimate small market Finals.

If that doesn't happen, Chicago/OKC. Perkins gives them everything they needed to become a real championship team.

I hate the Heat, but I think you're right. Boston losing Perkins puts them out of the running, the Bulls are still a year or so away, and Orlando simply isn't good enough.

Well, if you look at the very first post in this thread you would see it was created for topics that don't need their own thread and unrelated to the Pacers.

I didn't know it was strictly NBA topics. My bad.

I figured there were some golf fans in here so I wanted to know their thoughts.

It was meant to be NBA-only, yes.

We do have a forum for other sports, though, The Locker Room.

The Nuggets had nine (9) players scoring in double figures tonight.

We'll see in the playoffs but so far they got the better end of the Melo trade.

Might be the last game ever for the Sacramento Kings tonight. Never really cared about them, but that's a bummer, never like to see a team move.

Everyone here just hopes the owners don't allow it. Kevin Johnson is going to NY to talk to the owners before they make their decision.

I don't think its 100% that the owners will just approve it since LA already has two teams too.

I feel like every year they should do this on the last day of the season.

Seems like a good grand finale.

Rajon Rondo, post All-Star break: 9.6 ppg on .426 from the field, .125 from downtown and .571 from the line. 4.4 topg, too. He's still putting up huge assists numbers, but his own offense has been brutal.
