Austin Collie to miss several weeks after having surgery on his hand
The Indianapolis Colts’ offense has been dealt yet another setback.Austin Collie, the team’s second-leading receiver, will miss at least the next several games, and likely more, after requiring surgery on one of his hands, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
“How quickly he returns is up to Mother Nature,’’ the source said, “but he should be back at some point.’’
Collie is second on the team with 44 receptions and 503 yards, and first with six touchdown catches.
He’s the latest offensive mainstay likely to miss time.
Pro Bowl tight end Dallas Clark is out indefinitely with a hand/wrist injury sustained during last Sunday’s victory at Washington. Leading rusher Joseph Addai’s status for the Nov. 1 game with the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium is uncertain after he suffered nerve damage in his left shoulder in the same game.
