Former ASU standout Jeff Pendergraph of the Portland Trail Blazers has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

On his Twitter account, Pendergraph posted this message Friday afternoon: "Tough news today y'all, I'm out for the season with torn ACL."

He was expected to be the team's backup center, but injured his knee in a game Thursday against the Utah Jazz. The loss of Pendergraph leaves Portland with one healthy center, 14-year-veteran Marcus Camby. LaMarcus Aldridge is currently the only other Blazer taller than 6-10.

The Suns open their season Oct. 26 at Portland.

Brandon Roy is WAYYYY better than Granger, he is a guy who can single handedly take over ball games and WIN them. And Portland would laugh at that trade proposal, I was joking.

Nice idea in theory... I had the same thought. But after playing around with the trade machine, it's hard to pull together something that would make sense for us.
