So.......the plethera of issues we face

    1. What to do with Lecure?
    2. What to do with Bailey?
    3. Where is Volquez going to fit in?
    4. Should Chapman come up and pitch in the pen?
    5. When does Dusty begin to cut back on Leake's innings?
    6. Should the Reds make a run at Lee who will probably leave us high and dry at the seasons end?
    7. Votto is playing an excellent 1st base and you aren't going to move him...so what to do with Yonder?

It is a great time to be a Reds fan

Man, those are good problems to have.

1.) I think Lecure would be good coming out of the pen, although he's a lot better than I thought he could be.
2.) I think if he's healthy Bailey is your fifth starter. I think moving him to the pen might hurt his mindset. I just feel like he's fragile.
    3.) Anywhere.
    4.) Absolutely
5.) That's a tough question. The kid is so good you don't want to mess with him too much, but you also don't want to kill him.
6.) I don't think so. I think we are fine without him and don't want to give up what it would take to get him. Great, great pitcher, though.
7.) Another great problem to have.

    7. Possibly see if he can be converted to a 3B. Rolen only has a couple good years left in him at most. Yonder might be a solid understudy.

Think he was referring to Cliff Lee since Seattle is shopping him pretty hard.

Cliff.....if you look at what the Brewers done with Sabathia it would basically be the same type of situation.

Yeah, maybe. It's hard telling unless this team is on the cusp of a Pennant.

    Is
    *Scott Rolen*
    gonna be back next year?
I would think so. I think he and Jocketty are tight now. Walt gambled and gave Rolen a "third" chance, and I think he'd stick with the Reds.

I will punt you if you rub that bobble head in my face again.

Yeah, but I wonder if waiting till the deadline is a mistake given the number of wins Cliff could get us in between then and now.

What would the Reds give the Mariners? Chris Dickerson?

Cliff Lee is one of those "traveling aces". Unless he's going to the Yanks or Sox I'd say he won't stay long anywhere he goes.

I bet it would take a package of Alonso and Heisey just to get them to listen.

I'm not sure I would let Heisey go for a player that won't possibly stick around after this season. Chris has shown upside, however it's already in an outfield full of upside. Once you got Cliff, you'd have to sign him to an extension quickly, and a sweet one at that.

I think Alonso would absolutely have to be involved. I heard on Mike & Mike this morning it would take 3 young stud prospects + more. That's pretty steep.

Yeah I am with you. It is tough to measure whether a run at the playoffs is worth it or not, because unless for some reason Cliff signed an extension he is definitely gonna be out of here. The Reds would get compensation though.

That is crazy, but then again it is amazing to watch Lee blow a 91 mph fastball down the middle of the plate right by batter after batter. How in the hell does he do that? And with a 15k to 1 walk ratio...that is awesome. Walks have really cost the Reds this season.

I'm waiting on someone to get hurt if they simply mess up Jonny's order at Skyline.
