    Default Training Camp Day 2

    Read it bottom to top.

Pacers audio now up: http://tinyurl.com/2ddzvfu First clip is JOB talking about the Day-2 improvements...plus short interviews w/Paul & Mike 32 minutes ago via web

MikeWellsNBA They weren't lying about his defense, either. He's got some major work to do to improve his defense. about 1 hour ago via web Retweeted by mg_indy
  2. Very physical 2day: Rolle & Roy both took shots 2 the head & took a seat & Posey left after hurting his arm (I believe it was his shoulder) about 1 hour ago via web
  3. Lance and George had several steals and just ran the Blue team ragged. Very strong improvement from yesterday. They also hit open shots... about 1 hour ago via web
  4. The 2nd unit (White team) was just too quick for the 1st unit today (I stress "today"...don't read toooo much into one practice)... about 1 hour ago via web
  5. Solo: 27-13 (W)...JMac 1-of-2 FT's: 27-14 (W)...Darren: 27-16 (W)..Allred: 29-16 (W)...D. Jones 2FT's: 29-18 (W)..& that was the final score about 1 hour ago via web
  6. George 2FT's: 15-13 (W)...Solo 2FT's: 17-13 (W)...Posey 3pter: 20-13 (W)...Stephenson 2FT's: 22-13 (W)...Posey 3pter: 25-13 (W) about 1 hour ago via web
  7. Foster And-1: 8-10 (B)...Stephenson 3pter: 11-10 (W)...Granger 1-of-2 FTs: 11-11...George 2FT's: 13-11 (W)...Granger: 13-13... about 1 hour ago via web
  8. Solo: 2-0 (White)...Dunleavy: 2-2...George: 4-2 (W)...JMac 3pter: 4-5 (Blue)...Allred: 6-5 (W)...George: 8-5 (W)...D. Jones 2FT's: 8-7 (W) about 1 hour ago via web
  9. White team: TJ, Rush, Solomon, Rolle, George, Hansbrough, Posey, Stephenson, & Allred about 1 hour ago via web
  10. Blue team: Granger, Darren, Dunleavy, JMAC, Roy, AJ, D. Jones, & Foster about 1 hour ago via web
  11. At the end of practice they had a 12-min scrimmage. about 1 hour ago via web
  12. However, JOB wasn't satisfied with the effort/execution from the unit of TJ, Rush, Tyler, D. Jones, & Solomon...& he made them run sprints about 1 hour ago via web
  13. The point was 2 play strong 'D' & push the ball up the floor after a score or miss. Granger, Dunleavy, JMAC, Roy, & Darren were just fine.. about 2 hours ago via web
  14. When the media walked in...JOB had the guys in a defensive drill. Stephenson, George, Posey, Rolle, & Foster stayed on offense about 2 hours ago via web
  15. I almost wrecked while tweeting and driving yesterday...so I'll have more info in 10 min when I get back to the studio... about 2 hours ago via Twitter for iPhone
  16. Leaving Pacers practice. Saw the last hour of scrimmages again. Today's story: The young guys looked gr8. MUCH better than yesterday... about 2 hours ago via Twitter for iPhone

Looks like Paul George had 8 and Stephenson had 5 of the 29 by the white team. Not bad for a 12 minute scrimmage.

  23. At least 3 out of the 5 would be considered on the not so popular list, with Rush's drug issues also being a concern, I'm betting Tyler was pissed to be grouped with them hehe.

Oh and the JMAC 3 pointer(s) are flying in training camp still.

"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Man the blue team was WAY stronger talent-wise imo than the White team--I guess it was more of a "practice defense and offense as a TEAM" drill more than a "who's better; find our rotation guys" drill as the Blue Team had the advantage all the way.

Can anyone decipher the big mishmash of numbers? I have no idea what they correspond to.

It's the score of the scrimmage

Example: JMac 3pter: 4-5 (Blue) means McRoberts hit a three and the score was then 4 to 5 with Blue team on top.

Not surprised the 2nd unit won. You have guys trying to make the team and earn playing time. Time for the starters to get a wake up call. Let's go.

I like Lance (as a player, at least). But he's the 4th-quickest guy on the team at best.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

This isn't related to training camp, but that video directed me to this video of Lance that I hadn't seen before:

I was just watching the Wed scrimmage highlights, and Posey, although he did very well, does NOT look like a PF to me.

If you thought Lance was fast in Summer League, then Chris Paul would've looked like the friggin Road Runner.

posey looks like he is in good shape and there is some good PnR going on. Paul looks really good on D and he is not dribbling to much and some really good passing looks like he is coming along fast. overall we look a lot better than yesterday besides couple missed layups we look ok.
