I thought Sting was called Blade Runner Flash then?
Hmmmmm... not to the best of my memory. But I'll go look it up.

Edit: Good memory on your part however it is slightly off. When they were the tag team called the freedom fighters you are correct he was called flash however when they became the bladerunners he became Sting.

Good call though, I didn't know that myself.

Also here is a very early shot of them.

Although not my favorite tag team in the world, Koko is one of my favorite wrestlers so here goes:

The Pretty Young Things with Koko B. Ware and Bobby Eaton

(Eaton also teamed with another flying and funny wrestler: Leapin' Lanny Poffo)

    The Bird man, nice.

Of course you realize there is no way I can not counter with a WCW staple tag team featuring Bobby Eaton.

The Midnight Express featuring Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton.

    1. Junk Yard Dog & George "The Animal" Steele
    2. Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Sheik
    3. The Hart Foundation w/ Bret "Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart
    4. Nevaeh and Madison Lane
    5. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff
    6. Koko B. Ware & Bobby Eaton

    El Peckbo:

    1. The Road Warriors
    2. The Steiner Brothers
    3. Dick the Bruiser & Da Crusher
    4. the Fabulous Moolah & Leilani Kai.
    5. The Blade Runners (Rock & Sting)
    6. The Midnight Express

I still say the The Crow version of Sting was by far the best version. The bat, the mystery, the silence, the Sting decoys, up in the rafters...

I don't care if they couldn't hold the title. The Rockers.... ROCK! Shawn Michaels and Marty Janetty FTW!

Not going to ruin it, but we're missing some solid tag teams. SF, BW, HB, EC,BB, RNS are just intials of some good ones I feel you guys are missing

I want to go with La Parka and somebody here but if I'm going to go with an international style tag team I am going to have to once again return to my WCW/AWA bias and go with

Jushin "Thunder" Liger & The Great Muta

    1. Junk Yard Dog & George "The Animal" Steele
    2. Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Sheik

You know what's funny is that I remember their first televised apperance way back in the AWA & at the time Janetty was by far the star of the team. Funny how ones career sky rocketed and the others tanked totally, although its not supriseing because Janetty had zero mic skills while HBK would go on to become one of the best behind it.

Yeah I remember as a kid thinking wrestling was real. When Shawn Michaels kicked Marty Janetty through the barbershop window, my life was ruined

My WWF bias is probably due to the fact I couldn't watch any American wrestling while I was in Mexico City. And speaking of Mexico, probably the most famous luchador and his longest tag team partner:

"La Pareja Atómica" (The Atomic Pair) of El Santo and Salvador "Gory" Guerrero

We're almost at the finish line! With the 9th pick of the 2010 Top 10 Tag Team Draft, El Pacero selects:

Los Hermanos Shadow (The Shadow Brothers) - The Blue Demon and The Black Shadow

I can't go one more pick without taking the four horsemen. Historically I should take Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard however I have always been partial to Barry Windham.

But I guess I will stick with tradition and go with Blanchard & Anderson.

    El Pacero:

    1. Junk Yard Dog & George "The Animal" Steele
    2. Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Sheik
    3. The Hart Foundation w/ Bret "Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart
    4. Nevaeh and Madison Lane
    5. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff
    6. Koko B. Ware & Bobby Eaton
    7. La Chacala and Tsunami
    8. "La Pareja Atómica" (The Atomic Pair) of El Santo and Salvador "Gory" Guerrero
    9. Los Hermanos Shadow (The Shadow Brothers) - The Blue Demon and The Black Shadow

    El Peckbo:

    1. The Road Warriors
    2. The Steiner Brothers
    3. Dick the Bruiser & Da Crusher
    4. the Fabulous Moolah & Leilani Kai.
    5. The Blade Runners (Rock & Sting)
    6. The Midnight Express
    7. Jushin "Thunder" Liger & The Great Muta
    8. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy & Michael Hayes)
    9. The Four Horsemen - Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard

Deep breath (sigh of relief)... my final pick.

This has been a lot of fun and I would like to thank my family, my women and most importantly Peck for holding a great draft.

With the final pick in the 2010 Top 10 Tag Team Draft, El Pacero picks his dream team:

    El Pacero and Andy Kaufman

The Women's Wrestling Champion and the Inter-Gender Wrestling Champion join forces to rule all women!

Well with bittersweetness I must also pick my last tag team.

We have left out so many truely worthy candidates and there is just no way I'm going to get to them all with one pick remaining.

I've picked a lot of old school tag teams, obviously from back in the day when I watched a lot of WCW/AWA so I want to end on a more modern team.

I think I'll go to TNA for this one and there really are three tag teams that I could easily choose from to be the best of the promotion but I think I am going to go with America's Most Wanted (James Storm & Chris Harris)

Thus bringing to a close our first ever top 10 draft pick of tag teams.

    El Pacero:

    1. Junk Yard Dog & George "The Animal" Steele
    2. Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Sheik
    3. The Hart Foundation w/ Bret "Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart
    4. Nevaeh and Madison Lane
    5. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff
    6. Koko B. Ware & Bobby Eaton
    7. La Chacala and Tsunami
    8. "La Pareja Atómica" (The Atomic Pair) of El Santo and Salvador "Gory" Guerrero
    9. Los Hermanos Shadow (The Shadow Brothers) - The Blue Demon and The Black Shadow
    10. El Pacero and Andy Kaufman

    El Peckbo:

    1. The Road Warriors
    2. The Steiner Brothers
    3. Dick the Bruiser & Da Crusher
    4. the Fabulous Moolah & Leilani Kai.
    5. The Blade Runners (Rock & Sting)
    6. The Midnight Express
    7. Jushin "Thunder" Liger & The Great Muta
    8. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy & Michael Hayes)
    9. The Four Horsemen - Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard
    10. America's Most Wanted - Chris Harris & James Storm

Good draft gents. Now let's discuss.

With the 20 wrestlers here, assuming that each is at the heighth of their powers and in their prime, who wins a Battle Royal? WWE style rules where you can put someone out by sending them over the top rope. I'm thinking it comes down to Andy Kaufman and El Pacero, with Kaufman ejecting Pacero and reminding his partner that he still has a thing or two to learn about women's wrestling.
