    Default Video Game Accessory Question

Thinking about getting into first person shooter games on my PS3 soon and found this accessory...

I was wondering if any of you gamers have used one and have a review of weapon-style controllers?

Honestly, they should only be used for Arcade-style games like House of the Dead or just on the Nintendo Wii.

There's more to FPS these days than just shooting. There's a lot of stealth, vehicle driving, and even some hand-to-hand sequences. Kinda hard to do with a Video Game accessory, let alone a 3rd Party one.

My fear in those things is the delay between the movement of the gun and the recognition from the game.

So I've checked out Sony's upcoming release of their Move controllers for the PS3... Looks really cool.

AND NBA2K11 is compatible with it?!

Looking forward to BioShock 3 in March 2011 and I'm not even a gamer... Movie of game action looks fantastic...

I'm more excited to see what Kinect can do. No controllers what so ever? Voice recognition? The whole idea is fascinating.

Excitement aside, I'm timid on buying these new interactive features for the big-boy consoles. I just hope it's not gimmicky stuff. I want true immersion from actual games, not just some cheap family games with limited use of the hardware.

Yeah, I find Kinect more interesting because it looks like Move seems to be mostly just replicating the Wii (which I have, and stopped using other than the occasional visit to beloved NES, SNES, N64 games), while Kinect is trying to cover new ground.

But even Kinect doesn't have me scrambling for my wallet. I need a "killer app" that appeals to me. Haven't seen it yet, and I'm not even sure I'll know one until it's staring me in the face.

They should've stuck with the "Natal" name. I like it better than "Kinect". Natal just sounds cool.

I'm excited for the Move since Andrea and I could play Wii-ish games without buying another console (which we've considered but are waiting to see how Move is).

Move is described as Wii on steroids and having to use two at the same time looks interesting (ie archery, boxing)... I'm excited about shooter games with the 2nd device to move around while using the "shooting accessory"... the black one, not the one that looks like a cake decorator.
