I'm surprised they arn't going at Chandler trying to draw the foul, especially if you got so many bigs, just go him and get him out the game.

That isn't true. It was just the latest they ever trailed in a game. They didn't even have quarters back then. I'm fairly sure it was 20-minute halves.
You're right, just looked it up. I either misheard or he misspoke. I definitely remember that game though. Petrovic was pretty damn good.

he is just not that good and can't play D
That nots even close to being true, he's the 2nd best forward on this team, and one of the best skill sets for the international game. I've seen him play pretty decent defense the whole trip. Blocking shots, disrupting passes. Dropped 25 on China when they gave him minutes.

Where as you've got Gay who just dunks the ball on fast breaks, and missed a wide open one.

Eric "baby Richmond" Gordon lighting it up yet again.

I've been waiting for years for us to get a zone-busting specialist like that.

I'll trust what coach K sees in practice over what I see on the floor.

ok, this is just unfair. We're cremating Croatia's reserves.

For once, we're the team taking advantage of that absurdly short 3-point line.

I'm not sure if Roko Ukic taking Kevin Durant in ISO situations is a winning formula....

USA outscores Croatia 26-6 in the 2nd quarter.

    twenty-six....to six.

    That was a whoopin.'

USA 48, Croatia 26 at halftime.

Kevin Love has been really effective in his limited minutes. He needs to see the floor more to snag some more rebounds. It's really frustrating how many second looks USA gives up.

That's the hand we were dealt, tough. I'd rather Krzyzewski take advantage of our guard depth than try to field a conventional lineup for the sake of a few boards.

If our center rotation id Lamar Odom and Kevin Love, so be it. I'll take whatever Durant is going to do vs. international power forwards vs. how many points he'll give up.

Meanwhile, Puerto Rico and Russia are having a great game. Russia up 1 with 2 minutes left 3rd quarter.

I'm really liking this Mozgov kid. He's a legit center. No Euro finesse from his game; he wants to dominate the paint.

And Granger is the 12th man..... Thats just turrible.

Just reaffirms my dislike of Coach K and Duke.

Jose Barea is in Mavs-mode now. He's schooling Russia's guards.

it is beyond me why Iguodala and Rudy Gay are ahead of Granger in the lineup. Iggy and Gay can mainly just dunk when the get the opportunity to, and in the exhibition games, both of them were missing wide open dunks so that means they weren't very effective. Let Granger play so that the USA team can have some positive minutes out there.

They won the 2nd quarter 26-6. You can argue the subs, but you can't argue the results.

Has Coach K ever considered using some Moisturizer and some NeoSporin on that bright red dermatitis above his cheek. He always has that under his eye.

God Igudala is an idiot, hand it off in the middle of the defense leaving Durant no where to go.

OK, I don't want to hear about the accuracy of the FIBA traveling call ever again. Tomic may as well have paid for bus fare on that shuffle, and that was the 3rd or 4th time he's pulled it.
