Default Travis Diener to play in Italy

After spending time with three different NBA teams, guard Travis Diener has decided to play in Italy.

He will play this season for Dinamo Sassari, based on the island of Sardinia.

"From everything I've heard, it's a first-class organization," Diener said. "The city itself, it's on an island, and it's absolutely beautiful. I'm looking forward to going over there."

Dinamo Sassari is moving to Italy's top division this season.

Diener had discussed possible deals with the Bulls, Cavaliers and Bucks before opting to play overseas.

For those that care about Travis...I actually wanted to get some other news besides Lance
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

Good for him, he'll probably get to play more and get paid more.

Yeah good for him, he was a good point guard for us with a great assist-to-turnover ratio.

    And Othello Hunter.

Wise decision for Diener, European basketball suits his game better.

Beautiful city indeed, it should be a fabulous place to live for awhile. Don't really know the club.

They're an up and coming club, just promoted from the second league. Used to have a bank behind to help (Banco di Sardegna), but this year it'll probably withdraw its support so there may be more questions about future projects.
Lost Marcellus Kemp, their leading scorer and best player, to Virtus Bologna, but they're active on the market. All in all they're building a good team, even without the bank help.

As for the city, well, it's nice per se, but living in Sardinia is like being on vacation all year long. Always sunny, chilly, best sea you'll find in the Mediterranean...and obviously nice women, can't forget that. Diener striked a good deal
