We'll be joined by Darren Collison and James Posey in about 10-15 minutes, so you can go ahead and submit your question ahead of time.

Hey Darren and James. It’s amazing to have you guys on the Pacers team now and I have two questions. Are you excited to play for the Pacers and do you think you can make an impact this year for us to turn the franchise around and put us back in the playoffs where we should be?

    Tuesday August 17, 2010 1:52 Keith L.

Darren Collison is joining us now so James will be joining us in a few minutes.

Hi, this question is for Darren Collison. What’s your greatest skill? And how will you help the Pacers this year? I look forward to seeing you play and get us into the playoffs this year.

This question is for Darren...coming out of UCLA, have you always looked up to Reggie Miller. Have you gotten any advice from him?
    Tuesday August 17, 2010 2:01 Carson K.
    2:01

D.C. -- I didn't quite look up to Reggie but I did respect him as a player. I have gotten some advice from him in the past but nothing right now.

Darren, what kind of impact can you bring to a team that has struggled to play consistently over the past few seasons and where do you see the Pacers going in the next three years?
    Tuesday August 17, 2010 2:01 Matt H.
    2:02

D.C. -- I can bring some consistency. I see the Pacers making a deep run in the playoffs in the next three years and for years to come.

    Tuesday August 17, 2010 2:02 Vince
    2:02

D.C. -- I expect to come in here and be the point guard that they want. And to make sure we have a winning mindset. Everybody wants to win but do they actually believe it?

James Posey, you are a great Veteran and you have been a champion, so you know what it's like to be with good players. So now you’re teaming with Danny Granger, Hansbrough, and Collison, how long do you think it will take for this team to be competing for the NBA Championship?
    Tuesday August 17, 2010 2:04 Brandon D.
    2:04

J.P -- It's a process. I guess it starts with step one right now, for us to take it one day at a time. At the end of the day it's about putting ourselves in a good situation to win basketball games. If you do that, you let the chips fall where they may.

James, as a quality veteran in this league, what do you think you can teach some of the younger players about winning and being successful?
    Tuesday August 17, 2010 2:05 Vince
    2:07

J.P. -- Thanks for the compliment. I know how important it is because I had good veterans when I came into this league. Not only did they help me become a better basketball player and understand the game. They helped me become a better person. That's important for organizations now because you want to have good character for the longevity of your career in the NBA. You want to be a good player, have good character and do the right things to last long.

    Tuesday August 17, 2010 2:08 Paul S.
    2:08

DC -- For me, I live in L.A. and that's a big city. I can adapt to both. I know it's fast in L.A. and in a small city it's quiet and calm. That's more of my personality right there.
    Tuesday August 17, 2010 2:08
    2:09

JP - I can adapt to anywhere for the most part. The reason I'm here is basketball and to win and I'm always thinking of that first. When time permits I do want to enjoy what that city has to offer.

D.C. -- I got a chance to play with Mike Dunleavy and Danny every summer in L.A. They're good players and I know they bring a lot to the table. I thought Danny was a good player before he got that notoriety and Mike is one of the best shooters in the league.

Welcome Darren & James!! Darren, have you seen either of James' rings... if so, how bad do you want one, and what can we expect from you to helping the Pacers reach that level of championship contender?
    Tuesday August 17, 2010 2:12 Charles
    2:13
D.C. -- I think every player in the league wants one really bad but it's how hard you want to work for it. It's definitely a process and I'm willing to take that road.
    Tuesday August 17, 2010 2:13
    2:14
J.P. -- Winning at this level is a great feeling. It's hard to explain but that's one of the reasons you play this game. I'll wear my rings, depending on the event. If we're playing that team, I might wear it as a reminder -- 'Thank you, I appreciate you.' I wear them from time to time but they're usually in a safe place.

DC - I think so. I don't think people have really seen his full potential. I remember playing against him at Kansas. I thought he was going to be a really good player in the NBA and I still think he can be. With the success the team is going to have, he's going to thrive with that.

JP -- I just think it's important because I had great veterans to learn from when I was coming up in this league. DC - Roy. I heard he's a hard-worker. He seems humble and I think we're going to have a lot of success playing with each other because of his willingness to get better.
    Tuesday August 17, 2010 2:19

This gets me excited.....about Posey. What Collison said...is what I expected.

If Posey's really interested in getting into coaching, and at this point in his career is trying to start making that transition....he could be absolutely huge for our young guys. Specifically Paul George.

Hey guys, I never post here (butm responsible for a goo chunk of the 15,000 hits on the Lance thread), but I wanted to throw out that I got 3 questions picked for the chat and I'm pumped (Alan). They really seem to saying all the right things. Feels real good right now. I'm gonna tell everyone that I'm homies with both of them now.

Man my jaw dropped when I saw that cast on Darren's hand, he said it was minor, but my jaw still dropped to the floor. Outside of that love what Darren and Posey are saying at the presser.

It gives a sense of getting it. The whole selfless leadership thing, not easily taught, if at all. Really if what he's saying is half of what his actions will be, this is going to be fun.

I just couldn't be happier about this move, right now.

It's nice to see the video, helps get your mind back to the positive, after the last couple of days of negative talk. I really don't want to go back to those days again, that's why I was so sick to my stomach when the Lance news came out. Thank god Darren and Posey are here, I don't know what I would do!

pretty excited to have Posey on the team, I think he is gonna really rub off on the other wings and even Danny. He has made this career on being a nasty defender who can hit the spot up jumper.

Alan -- TJFord!? Listen Darren, I know you're just trying to be nice, but if you ever put yourself in the same sentence with him again, you'll be cut from the team.
