This adds $4.2M in salary for the Pacers this year, which puts them close to but not over the LT. It removes $4.2M from the Jazz, who are at roughly $75M. So the worst case scenario for them is it save tham $8.4M total (when you include the LT). Also, it gets them in striking distance of actually being under the tax with a follow up trade.
So that seems like a big financial haul for them. They'd probably still be ok on the court, and we would definitely get a big boost.
I can't figure how they're that high on Milsap when they just traded for Al Jefferson. So I'd think he's gettable. I think we can live with Solo, McRoberts, and going small. You could really play Milsap like a C in a pinch. He's got a big enough *** for it
Jefferson was definitely obtained to play center in Okur's absence. If he ever plays alongside Fesenko he'll probably slide to the 4 but I would be very surprised to see them trading Millsap without getting a quality, starter-caliber player in return.
