Seasons starts October 27th @ San Antonio, then 29th @ Charlotte before home opener versus Philly on the 30th.
Some curious time slots for some of these games. I wonder if they are errors. Game Vs. Washington on Friday, Dec. 31 (New Year's Eve Day) is scheduled for 3 PM. Game at LA Clippers on Jan. 17 is a Monday game at 3:30 PM our time (12:30 PM LA time).

Although I miss the Thanksgiving games we had for a couple of years, I love it that we keep having games on Black Friday.

The Clippers game on the 17th falls on MLK day, if i'm not mistaken. And it isn't all that unusual for Dec 31 games to be scheduled earler in the day.

here is a link to national TV games. NBATV included, . I looked through this very quickly and may have missed a couple

    http://www.nba.com/schedules/nationa...ule/index.html

I see pacers play on ESPN 3/30 - Pistons at pacers. I wouldn't hold your breath about this game actually being shown on ESPN. If both teams are out of the playoffs, they could easily substitute another game.

    NBATV 12/13 - Pacers @ Chicago
Yup, same thing happened last season with the Wizards game.

26 wins this year would have tied you for fourth worst record (and it's how many the Wizards had). I don't consider that purgatory.

This season is completely up in the air. I think we could win anywhere from 15 games to 40..depending on who plays and how well they play.

This is my prediction but I think is possible that they could win 8 or 10 more games at the end and put them in purgatory

I'm talking about the Pacers in general. Nothing about my personal life is part of this...for the record.

We just don't look promising, that's all. The rich keep getting richer, the poor just stay freakin' put.

Yeah that ESPN game will not happen unless the Pacers or Pistons are in the playoff hunt.

I expect NBAtv to show another game or 2 for fan night as well.

Hopefully the team plays well, and are added nationally later in the season

this thread reminds me of this scene from Dumb and Dumber

Lloyd: What do you think the chances are of a guy like you and a girl like me... ending up together?
Mary: Well, Lloyd, that's difficult to say. I mean, we don't really...
Lloyd: Hit me with it! Just give it to me straight! I came a long way just to see you, Mary. The least you can do is level with me. What are my chances?
    Mary: Not good.
Lloyd: You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?
Mary: I'd say more like one out of a million.
    [pause]
Lloyd: So you're telling me there's a chance... *YEAH!*

OK< I found this. the heat are on the same number of times as Lakers and Celtics - 25 times, if you don't count NBATV.

The national television schedule for the 2010-11 NBA season, featuring 73 games on ESPN, 52 on TNT, 15 on ABC and 2 on ESPN2.

The Heat, Lakers and Celtics lead the way with 25 telecasts across TNT, ABC and ESPN/ESPN2, followed by the Magic (22), Nuggets (20), Suns (19), Bulls (18), Spurs (18), Mavericks (16), Trail Blazers (15) and Thunder (15). Other teams making at least ten appearances include the Knicks (11) and Jazz (11).

The LeBron-less Cavaliers are scheduled for just two appearances -- home games against the Heat (December 2 on TNT) and Hornets (March 6 on ESPN).

The two most important dates for me are the two dates they will be in Washington DC. December 29 and February 22. I know there are a bunch of us fairly close to DC. We should have a remote PD Party for those up for the downstroke. That December 29 game might be a great time. There are a bunch of good bars right close that we could make something happen. There is a sweet Pub across the street from Verizon. Just an idea.

Any reason as to why LA likes Sunday night games (to minimize back to backs? or just because?)?

My guess would be because they don't have an NFL team so they figure they aren't competing directly with another of their city's entertainment options.

Guess I should read entire thread before commenting, seeing as MyFavMartin beat me to this answer, live and learn

Damn...I'm debating whether I should actually get NBALP again this year. It was a nice thing to have....but I can't sit through another mediocre season.

Worse comes to worse, I guess I can get it then justify it by saying that I got it so that my son can watch more games

    Mediocre????

We'd have to win 9 more games to reach mediocre.

For some reason I decided to look up what the real definition of the word mediocre. Because it seems to me that most people use the word to mean below average.

if someone told me I did OK on the project, I would be fine with that, if they said I did a mediocre job on the project, I would think I did much less than OK.

So I think 32 wins is a mediocre season, I think that is the correct or at least a correct usage. In fact if I were say how many wins is a mediocre season in the NBA I would say probably somewhere in the 30-39 win range. 41 wins IMO is not mediocre

    http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/mediocre

: of moderate or low quality, value, ability, or performance : ordinary, so-so

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mediocre

    1. of only ordinary or moderate quality; neither good nor bad; barely adequate.
    2. rather poor or inferior.

41 wins, which is what I was saying is the exact definition of the bolded statement from above.

That was my point. Mediocre is a neutral term, IMO we were not a neutral team. We were a poor team and by pure definition anything less than 41 wins is a losing team thus my statemet that we would have to win 9 more games to become mediocre.

OK, at best it is either a neutral term or a term that refers to poor quality
