I thought you were moving to Indy. Why would you need a hotel to stay at? Or are you trying to find out where the opponents' players will be staying?

Seems like I've ran into NFL and WNBA players at the Omni. Don't remember any at others... hmmm.... It seems like Atlanta (NFL) was at the Westin once when I was there (I'm at these hotels several times a year).

I'm not sure what that tells you but there are several decent places downtown.

I've got a story involving where opponents stay. Back during the 2000 Finals, the Lakers were staying up at Keystone Xing. Lord knows why; guess coming from LA, they'd be uncomfortable with a short commute. I lived and worked right next to the Fashion Mall at the time, saw them a couple times on my lunch break that week. Was mighty tempted to run over some night and pull the fire alarm. Never did, though.

Anyway, I left my place an hour and a half before game 5, and the police were just escorting the Lakers buses downtown. I ended up following them the whole way. They couldn't have gotten to Conseco more than 45 minutes before tip! No wonder we blew them out.

I ran into Karl Malone at the Omni one time when the Jazz were in town for a game.

    Five-stars=none.

Several quality hotels though - Omni, Weston & Hilton.

There's a five star hotel under construction as we speak. Don't remember the name - Conrad? or know when it's due to be completed.

The company I work for has the contract for the electrical/telecom/data on the new Conrad downtown. It will be Indy's first 5 star hotel. The Cantebury is only a 4 star hotel.
