    Default NBA League Pass?

Now that we have a promising young PG and a brighter future with our young core of players, how many of you out-of-state Pacers fans are going to purchase NBA League Pass?

I am this year. It doesnt have anything to do with Collison. I actually ordered it before the trade went down. This is my first year ordering it.
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

I order it every year. I like the option to watch virtually every game that catches my interest. Like Collison for example, last year after he burned the Pacers for a triple-double, I watched him more closely. I think we basically stole this guy, and opinion is not based on stats because I saw many of the games Collison started and was very impressed. Things like that displays the definite advantage of having League Pass as a basketball fan. I love it. If you just watched every Pacers game and nothing else, it will basically cost $2 a game.

I'm not really who you have in mind for this poll, so I didn't vote.

I'm getting league pass again, and I have for a few years now.

I do it because it allows me to watch an extra Pacer game or so every year that otherwise wouldn't be on TV, and I like to casually browse the other games being played on any given night.

Ok, I'm with you, so you order every year. Poll question #1

I have ordered it now for the past 3 or 4 years why stop now... I'm excited to see how all the players have progressed and how well the team improves from last year.... The only thing that makes me second guess the purchase is JOB's knack for playing stupid lineups...

League Pass is worth every penny without a doubt. I'm not getting it this year as it's a huge and really busy year, so I'll get to watch all the Pacers games on FSI of course, but won't have the time to watch tons of other games for the heck of it like with League Pass, but I can tell you that if you're seriously thinking about it, then go for it!

I've ordered the league pass the last eight years. I get it to watch my fantasy players and just love watching basketball. I fall asleep to the league pass every night.

The good thing about NBA League Pass in Toronto (I dont know how it is in Indy) is that if you purchase the Super Sports Pack, you get NFL Sunday Ticket, NBA League Pass, NHL Center Ice, etc... all for just $29.99/month '

....i sounds like I work for the cable company lol

I'm picking it up because I'm an out of state fan. Grabbed the broadband only version last year and it was ok but not as good as the regular version.

That's awesome! $360 a year? That's the price of NFL ticket with Superfan alone through DirecTV.

If it's available through Verizon as a package. You could subscribe with Fios and activate the online LP Broadband account at NBA.com as a perk. I do this with my DirecTV account every year because some local games are blacked out, but I can watch them online instead at NBA.com. I know what Fios is, but very little. Hope that helps.

Glad someone started this thread. Don't post much but I have a couple questions. Is League Pass available for Comcast for those that have it? Always lived in Indy but now I've moved away. I think it is according to Comcast's website which brings me to my next question...

It says that up to 40 games a week are available. Are these picked by Comcast or is it just until you watch 40 games in a given week? I'm not buying it unless I can view every Pacers game.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Every year since after "The Brawl" I have said "this is the year I stop ordering league pass, the NBA and the Pacers have pushed me too far!", and every year, when the time comes, I let the subscription renew b/c I let thoughts creep up that maybe, just maybe, a miracle will happen and we'll be this amazing team which no one saw coming, and I don't want to miss it.

I'm forever the optimist when it comes to Indy teams, at least when the season begins. This year will be no different. Of course, with all the FA signings that happened this year, that will add to the intrigue of watching the NBA even aside from the Pacers.

With regards to Comcast providing League Pass, the only way to know for sure is to call and ask about availability in your area.

Used to be (and may still be) that in some places they did, some they did not. If I had to guess, you could probably get it from just about anywhere nowadays. But call and confirm.

League Pass gets you pretty much every single game. The exceptions are:

    1) If it's on national TV, it's almost certainly not also on league pass.

    2) If it's your local team, it won't be on league pass unless the local TV people for said team are not covering the game.

For example, if the Pacers are not on local Indiana TV for a game @ Minnesota, but the Minnesota people are covering it, you'll get to watch the game on League Pass.

It's available through DirecTV, Dish, Time Warner, COMCAST, Adelphia, Cox, Cablevision, Adams Cable, Blue Ridge Communications, RCN and VERIZON FIOS

I've had it for almost fifteen years. Was thinking about dropping it -- certainly watched less than 20 games last season so I'm not getting my money's worth.

But with Collison, Hibbert, Rush, etc., I'm hoping to get my money's worth this season. Ugh, but there's still O'Brien.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

This will be my 4th year purchasing NBA League Pass. My cable company doesn't offer it, so I just order the Broadband version and attach my computer to HDTV.

How do you do that, if you don't mind giving details.

Straight to the TV, or thru a DVR? Ethernet? USB?

RGB(VGA) cable with optional midi cord for sound with a HDTV, or s-video cable and midi for CRT SDTV with digital connections. That is how I use my computer everyday on my 37" Vizio. You can also go wireless if you choose to.

My 4th year coming up for League Pass through Direct TV. I am thinking of moving over to HD with Xfinity this coming season. Anyone have any experience with Xfinity? It's actually Comcast just rebranded.

That's your answer. Do you want a one-trick cable company that networks SATELLITES from miles away with thousands of cables, splices, repeaters and amplifiers, or would you like the source to be in your own backyard/roof with only 1-5 points of failure. Picture, sound and HD capacity will always be superior with satellite providers. If you choose to leave DirecTV, I'd go with Dish then, not cable. Just a personal and professional opinion.
