Default So, um, has anyone heard from Uncle Buck?

I'm worried that UB has started a vigil outside Conseco with a gun to his head and a sign that states, "Trade Ron over my dead body."

Seriously, has he even posted since this all started? (Yup, I just checked, and he hasn't posted in 72 hours.) I fear that Bird has not only kidnapped he and Peck, but has forced them into an epic cage match to the death. The victor gets to decide if we make the trade or not.

Well... I'm PRETTY sure I'm not the only one who would love to hear your opinion on these proposed Ron (+extra) for Peja trades.

I wonder if the Kings want to risk taking Artest. They will have other options for sure, although most others involve mult-player trades.

I also am concerned about how this affects Ron's relationship with the Pacers, if the deal falls thru.

This is a valid point. Ron was offered in two trades this summer: one for the #1 scorer in the league and one for the #2. He'll come back next year gunning.

If he doesn't get traded, I'd hate to be Peja when the Pacers play the Kings.

For that matter, I'd hate to be TMac when the Paers play the Rockets.

Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

I don't think Ron would hold being offered against the Pacers. He's pretty grounded about the NBA being a business (note his reaction to Isiah and Al leaving.)

Now then, if we traded him, it might be a different story.

Not what I meant. More like, "Yeah Ron, you're a great defensive player, but we're trading you for somebody with more O." He said he was going to focus on his offensive game this summer, and I think we'll see continued improvement this fall.

    I just hope he's still a Pacer.

wow, that's a scary thought. a ron artest who wants to prove he's a great offensive option? sounds like a prelude to a brickfest/turnoverfest.

hopefully he does improve though, especially in the area of decision making. he really is a good passer when he's not focused on putting the ball through the hoop.
