I've been a mobster all my life. I even remember stealing the pacifier from the brat in the crib next to mine at the hospital. Boy, did that kid cry like a ..... baby.

But I've always been on the move. I used to be Joe from Chicago, see? And I was also Mikey Three Nuts from Cleveland. I could never find a crew where I fit in, until I hooked up with this family. I felt like I had found a home, a place where I could relax, prop my wing tips up on the desk and smoke a cigar while I plotted my next caper.

But now all that's changed. Someone is trying to rub us out. Someone iced btown outside of Little Bo Peep's (that place has got the best tail in town.) Well, they've made a big mistake. We're not going to take this lying down. (We only do that at Little Bo Peep's.)

Sure, it was a shock to learn btowncolt was a f
agala, but he was one of my crew, a good fella. A family avenges its own. The trouble is, I don't have the first clue at this point. Until someone can drop a dime on the perp, I'm grasping for straws in the dark here. I don't know Merz all that well, so my vote goes to him.

I'm the young kid...I've gotta lot to learn about the way things run in this town. I'm eager to learn the tricks of the trade, but it's kind of hard when you trust no one. I still have faint memories of my very first pacifier getting ripped out of my mouth as an infant.

I may have cried then but that was one of the last times I let my emotions get the best of me. My mother passed soon after I was born and my father beat the **** out of me on a daily basis...until I ran away.

A young life on the streets has hardened me but I still yearn for some type of a family. I'm willing to do anything for some comradery (and maybe someone to show me how to talk to the ladies).

For now I'll go along with the majority until I find out who I can trust. Plus I take things literally sometimes...the word on the street by my corner was the the death of btown was a "trophy" killing. So I'm going to vote for Trophy .

Sitting down at my desk in the back of the joint shaking my head. "What a day to be off! I finally get Ms. P. to let me go spend some time with my main squeeze down by the lake enjoyin' the fireworks and i come back to this!" I think to myself, thumbing through the markers the boys have posted on the impromptu ballot board.

I've been a part of this family before it was a family! Me and The Ms.'s Pop used to run numbers on the south side when she was still in diapers. After he got taken out I pledged to do everything I could to help take care of her. Now that little freak Btown, a good stooge, but still a freak, gets rubbed out. On toppa that, we got some wolves from the pack that took him out trying to take us all down with him. Well that ain't gonna happen! Not on my watch!

Of course this might be easier if there weren't so many young hot heads willin' to shoot first and ask questions later. These saps are throwin' each other under the jitney faster than a gold-digger jumps onna rich old geezer! Hell, I've even got two of them blaming me! That rag-a-muffin VA from out East and that four-un-ner Belli from where ever he is from!

I'm not sure who to put the mark on, but for now that weasel Belli gets my vote.

Hmmm, not sure why trophy didn't vote for, well, someone who voted for him. Had he made a good argument I may have swung his way and added some heat to take some pressure off of him. But since he went against me, I will reluctantly move my vote form Belli to him, Trophy, to add even more heat under his pot.

I also have my eye on Pig Nash...I've seen it happen to many other families...the right hand of the godfather/mother always crosses the boss for more power promised by the rivals...this can certainly be a case with Pig...I got my eye on you...

    Dear Anne -

Today I arrived in Chicago to meet with my publisher. The passage from England was swift, and the train from New York made better time than I expected. Truly these Americans have much in their favor when it comes to industry.

What they have in effort, however, they make up for with a lack of relaxation. I had heard that alcohol was frowned on in our daughter nation, but somehow had not realized that it had been prohibited completely. Luckily the hotel bellhop explained the concept of a "speakeasy" (a hidden club that serves black-market alcohol, apparently) and told me where to find one.

No sooner did I arrive than was discovered the body of a local yokel named btown. The speakeasy is in lockdown as we attempt to discover the killer. I will mail this letter just as soon as we are able to leave.

Personally, I will be voting for VAPacersfan. It's too soon to make definitive statements as to guilt or innocence, so I'm using that tactic that has so often been used against me: alphabetical order. Of course, I'm working backwards from Z for obvious reasons.

    I remain ever yours,

    Anthem
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

When I arrived at the station this mornin, the Capain took me by the side and said one of the boys got knocked off. I had neva heard of this btown fella, but what the Capain wants, the Capain gets. I gonna hafta go down and ruffle some feathers during my shift. We Coppers usually stay out of their buisness, and just charge who ever comes up on top, but for reason, this one is personal. Gotta keep my boots moving, and my ear on the ground.

The fellas look like they got it pinned down between two, Trophy and Ken. I haven't heard nothin about either. There's this new guy in town. Already askin questions about where to liquored up. Funny accent, funny clothes, funny smell. There's always room for more, but you gotta make contrabutions first. I aint seen any. Plus, it's always easier to sweep away an outsider.

Anthem gets my vote. We gotta test him, see what he's made of. Literally.

Nothing here but us sheep here tonight.

    Wait..that doesn't seem right.

Nothing here but us family men here tonight. Well, except one of em. Poor btowncolt. Loved us like we were all his sheep.

All I know is that tonight, I don't particularly want to do much about nothing.

Except that I hate that darn cat who keeps moving around here.

I been a soldier in the Suino Family since it came to dis country... Boss Hogg, She treats me real nice... nicer than a I deserve. I always been loyal an all but sometimes I foul up. I get frustrated and confused. Thats what happened the night they got to Btown. I'se supposed to be watchin him. Makin sure he didn't take the Lupus' offer and to make sure nothin happened to him if he refused... because it sure seemed like an offer you couldn't refuse.

I thought I was a good tail, parked down the street in all in-descript, but just as Btown stepped out of Lil' Bo Peep's another car pulled up outta nowhere and I knew that was that for Btown. So did he. And just like he had xray vision he looked right past the heavy tint windows and right at me! Right into my eyes and I could tell he wanted to tell me something... like he knew something I didn't and that he wasn't gonna live long enough to tell me. There was nothing I could do... I wish I was more than a Button so i could so somethin about this mess but I guess what matters is that I do what Boss Hogg aks of me.

We gotta end dis, and fast!

I'm gonna consult with the Suino Family Consigliere.

    My vote comes in tonight.

Your eye deceives you. There are two clear guys leading the vote, but I gots no reason to think they are damn dirty wolves. I have no reason to join your mob, but if someone can give me a good reason why I should vote for those babbos, then I'm open to changing my mind.
