Someone had suggested it as a means to mitigate the seers power. I was just asking if it was still being suggested.
I don't think it's necessary. The angel is pretty ineffective in a lot of games (except for the hicks/bellisimo game.) I think that rule is actually only needed if the seer can announce himself in thread. It's the only way to balance it if people wanted to do away with that rule (which i'm not in favor of either.)
I think if the angel is saving the seer or something along those lines, all it does is show the wolves that they are right about the seer..and they have to save the Angel and kill him or her. I don't think there's a gain or loss of power there.
I could go either way, but that power could be used if the angel was attentive and the others knew they were not dead or turned.
I activated this just now and went to GUITARTED420's (awesome name btw) profile because I hadn't ever visited it before. Do I show up?
He has logged off now, but he was on.
Ok, that's weird...
Ok try Face9.
Trader - pick someone from the userlist! lol
ok I found face9:
I don't see you Trader...do you see me?
Nope, I just see my name with a * next to it.
I am abit confused about the whole infection thing
Will the person who is infected know they are infected? Also, can wolves infect wolves?
The person will know they are infected and in turn become a wolf. So no real point for a wolf to infect a wolf. Better to infect a human so they're a wolf.

Something that came up in TCT. When you play in real life, the wolves can't secretly communicate except to point and nod at night when no one is looking. We really couldn't enforce it but what if we played a no pm game except for the specials to briefly figure out who to kill at night, no strategy talk.
That would eliminate a lot of the issues and would make what was said in the thread important again instead of just a lot of bull while the game all takes place off thread.
On the one hand, PMing is fun, but IMO if there are PMs, it should stay completely out of the forum, as in, not even a mention of "so and so PMd me"
I would think the wolves would have to discuss. Because point in nodding is still, "kill them" "No" "okay..how about them" like..the wolves would need some way discussing it.
But I agree, the pming, and then dragging the pms in the forum, seems...sloppy..
Yep, I agree.
I think it would make it really hard to be the seer though because one of the only strategies right now is to pm people and build up a voting block. In a real game, you can make comments and not be so obvious, but when everyone can go back and read through the thread, it wouldn't be so easy.
Seer will just have to build up enough information. Seer almost ALWAYS dies in real games. They have to out themselves at some point and when they usually do it's with a ton of info, 2+ wolves, and a list of humans.
Yeah, that's the only thing I can think of.
In a no pm game we'd have to abolish the "you can't say you're the seer" rule. Then add in the rule where the angel can't protect the same player twice in a row?
No, you allow the angel to protect twice in a row, that's the gamble if you're the seer, when do you out yourself? When you still have the angel or when you have plenty of info to make a significant dent in the game.
But it wouldn't really be a gamble if you still had the angel. You do what Hicks did. Early in the game you declare yourself as seer and you just start naming humans and wolves.
The only defense would be to do it as a wolf, but I can't think of a time when that was successful or even tried.
I've honestly never seen a wolf game where the cop could protect the same guy twice in a row, so i'm all for adding that in.
