    Default G Squared

That is the nickname I am giving to Granger and George. They are going to be a dominant duo. The fact George publicly stated he wants to come here, and the fact Reggie is his idol make this a God send. Granger is his mentor and both Granger and George stated they wanted him to be drafted by us.

Granger (Pippen) got his Jordan (George). Not that George will ever Jordan, but his ceiling is Reggie Miller high, and maybe higher to due his size/athletic ability.

G squared. It will be a dominant duo, I just know it. Congratulations Bird, you did the right thing, You listened to your All Star Granger's advice and got the best buy from this draft.

We just drafted a future All Star to go next to our current All Star, and Hibbert still has a chance. Maybe I'm heavily drinking the Kool Aid, but I just knew when I heard the story of George and Granger, and idolizing Reggie, that this is our call to win a championship.

I'm not trying to ruin this, but is it just me or did Brandon Rush do the same thing? Not trying to put a damper on it, but yes Rush was gushing all over Reggie as well when he was traded to Indiana. But I do believe the Granger-George duo will be a very dominant one.

Umm Brandon Rush doesnt have highlight videos of dunks that could win the contest. He isn't 6'9. Granger wasn't his mentor. I can't remember if he is from LA or not.

Is it me or does George remind you more of Durant than Granger?

Oh I also don't remember an All Star on our team publicly stating he wanted Rush before the draft, and I don't remember Rush publicly stating he wanted to come here. I think Rush came up with this Reggie Miller idol thing after he was acquired by us. He doesn't attack the basket like Reggie did. He plays way better defense. Just not very Reggie like really.

hey guys just a random thought: if we do get hill, we can potentially have a starting lineup of players that only have last names beginning with H and G!

We just drafted the new Michael Jordan, ladies and gentlemen.

Maybe David Stern will just skip the formalities and allow us to hang 6 banners now.

Now, ya see, this is the kind of snarky response he should have avoided when he said that he didn't believe that George would ever be Jordan.

I especially like how in this scenario, the unproven rookie who shot 42% against powerhouses like Boise STate, Idaho, and Utah State is Jordan while the guy who's averaged 25 PPG over the last two years while shooting 45% in the NBA is Pippen.

For cripes sake, he's just making a comparison. Pay particular attention to the part where he said in his post right after he made the comparison, so as to avoid anyone having the impression that he was comparing George to Jordan that HE DIDN'T THINK GEORGE WOULD EVER BE JORDAN!

Unless you just mean that both are tall, thin black dudes with long
arms, no, he doesn't remind me of Durant. NOBODY reminds me of
    Durant.

    Except of course.....Durant.

Honestly, Durant was my first thought as well. His game is very, very similiar. Now, his statistics might not be the same and he may never accomplish what Durant has, but his game is very comparable.

I'm excited for P.G but not quite that excited yet. If he hits a Reggie-like level, I'll be absolutely thrilled.

My first impression of P.G after watching some highlights, was that his game is a lot like Stephen Jackson's, but more athletic. He can get to the basket cuz he's got good size. His shot is a little weird, slow, but effective. He's tall and has long arms. I'm not getting Durant out of any of this because Durant is just insane.

But, pass my the Kool-aid...maybe the Patron if it'll make me that happy, lol

What have most guys accomplished by the end of their third year in the league?

Answer: Far, far less than Kevin Durant has.
