Do you think there's a trade in place for tons of different players falling to #10?

My (optimistic) prediction: The Pacers draft Hayward (or Aldrich), who is promptly traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder for picks and Maynor. One half of the board is instantly up in arms, and then rejoices and vice versa.

    Should be a wild night.
    That's my hope!

If the Pacers do nothing but stand pat and take Hayward, I think I'll be sick.

Ya, i agree, especially since they were rebuffed by New Orleans for the 11 pick.

I have something to admit, a confession, after saying I didn't think Hayward was even an NBA player.

Now part of me really wants to take the hometown hero. I know it's a pipe dream, but it would really be the best story to pick him and him be really really good and part of the Pacers turn around. Unrealistic?, yes, coolest story ever?, yes!

Do that many people on here really want Hayward? I feel like the (very) casual fan, or the Butler fans like Hayward, but the die-hards are against picking him because we don't need him.

I'm seriously mentally prepared for us to take Hayward. If so, the beer I'm drinking now will be making direct contact with my TV screen. I'll be absolutely thrilled with Udoh even though he is by no means going to be a world beater (no one in this draft is) just because I'm afraid Bird is going to blow the pick and I'll be happy if he takes someone who appears to be demonstrably better.

At least this isn't that strong of a draft so I don't think Bird can blow this pick too badly.

I hope and think so. With all the rumors, I suspect that the reason why nothing has been concrete is because we don't know who will fall to #10 and vice versa.

My guess is that there will be several scenarios ( just like last season ) where a deal will be triggered when certain Players fall to certain positions.

Believe the last mock had us taking Udoh which means that he is wrong. Bucher and another analyst had us taking Hayward

Yahoo says 5 minutes for first round picks, and 2 minutes for second round picks.

So who's the most realistic potential new PG of all the different scenarios out there?

I'll say top three most likely in no particular order Maynor, Felton, Dre Miller

In my heart , and like Speed mentioned above... think it would be a nice pipe-dream of something occurring like Speed's scenerio , I'd love to see Heyward on our team if the circumstances were right.....

But my brain tells me , he is not what we "need" with our current makeup of mainstay players on the Pacers... and that we will kick ourself in our collective a$$e$ for NOT picking a player trying to go for the "home-run" pick ..

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

It's streaming on espn3.com and the draft party is on pacers.com

You need to have a certain service provider for espn3 though which is lame
