Pretty ugly game in San Fran last night. I'll be glad when this west coast trip is over. I can't keep myself awake long enough to watch these games.

Saw that, hit 104 and 105 according to reports, and struck out the side in the 9th. Hopefully he gets the call soon.

Yeah dude, I went to the game last night in Louisville and that was probably the most amazing thing I've ever witnessed on a diamond before...I'm still in awe about it. To top it off, that was probably the BEST AAA game I've ever seen.

I couldn't be more excited about the arrival of Aroldis Chapman. I know he's going to come out of the bullpen, but what inning do you think he works? Primarly in hold situations? 7th/8th innings usually? He would be great in a closer role, but I cannot fathom that Dusty would boot Cordero out of the 9th inning with the team doing so well, even if he is shaky.

I feel good about the Reds. For whatever reason, the Cardinals are crapping the bed against the Pirates and Nationals lately. I really think we take the Central this year, and I would absolutely make the pilgrimage over to Cincinnati to go to a playoff game.

The only thing I've read is that he'll likely be getting called up September 1st. I think that they are probably going to use him in the 7th/8th innings, but if Dusty chooses to we could have one hell of a secret weapon come the playoffs.

Yes, the playoffs. I feel it!

It really is. I'm excited. It would sure take an epic collapse for us not to win the Central at this point. What happened to St. Louis? Jesus, swept by the Astros, losing to moribund teams like the Pirates and Nationals? Wasn't it supposed to be the Reds who folded down the stretch? Love it. All the Cards fans in Evansville are bitter as can be.

Well at least we got 1 game in STL. I honestly wasn't expecting a series win (was hoping for it obviously), but we still have a 7 game lead and I feel pretty confident that we'll end up winning the NL Central by at least 3-5 games.

These last two series have been downright embarrasing. Our pitching is falling apart, and our bats have gone cold. Hope Bruce can provide a spark when he comes back, and that Brandon's recent struggles are due to his wrist. We need to get better quick, there is no good reason to back into the playoffs.

It worries me that we beat up on the crap teams and flame out against good teams.

True, but if the Cardinals were playing good ball at all right now we could be toast having dropped 7 of 10.

So I'm thinking of actually picking up my first Reds jersey for the playoffs coming up. I own a total of 0 jerseys right now so I figured now was a good time to pick one up. Thinking I may go with an alternate Bruce jersey. Any other recommendations?
