Indiana Pacers: Exploring the Off-season Options - Page 2
I don't necessarily think it's a given that Collison wants to leave New Orleans. Maybe down somewhere down the line. He's in a pretty good situation, backing up CP3. That could be a potentially lethal 3 guard rotation with CP3, Collison, and Marcus Thornton.
Nothing Henry has done nothing that has proven that he's any more "sure fire" at his position than Rush. And why even swap for Rush if our trade partner could just draft Henry?
Because Rush's rookie contract is up sooner. Its a small benefit but NO needs cap space and cash savings. Remember after this year we are going to have a new labor agreement most likely so player salaries are going to go down.
Re: Indiana Pacers: Exploring the Off-season Options
I hope we somehow stay in the first round. Maybe we trade the 10th pick, and then make a second trade for a late first round draft pick. Honestly this draft might not be top heavy with all star talent, but it seams like a deep draft. I think you can pick a good contributer towards the end of the first round. The difference between the 10th pick and the 25th pick might not be that much in terms of talent this year.
We could trade for a PG and then draft a late first round PG and hopefully be set a PG for a long time. I still think Price can be a good backup PG. I am just not sure about his knee.
