When people make predictions about draft prospects I see terms like “starter, all-star, etc..” thrown around quite a bit. The obvious question is starter on what team? If you start for a 20 win team, obviously it doesn’t mean you can be a starter on a contender team. So I just tried to predict player’s potential roles on 3 different situations: on a contender, playoff team or non-playoff team. I understand that those are rather broad terms. For example what is a non-playoff team, 2010 Nets (12 Wins) or 2010 Rockets (42 W)? To me it really doesn’t make that much of a difference when you don’t make the playoffs so I thought I would rather keep things simple. Hence, only 3 categories…

I am hoping that this would initiate some interesting discussions. Please let me know what you think… For now, only the players that I watched enough. I'll add to the list later.

So... What kind of players will they become when they reach their prime?
