No, it doesn't necessarily mean someone else is using the connection.

What is the subnet mask? 255.255.255.0?

    What type of router?

If you put 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your browser, and log into the router, you can tell how many dhcp clients there are....that is, how many wireless devices are drawing an ip address.

Do you know how to log in to the router....default username and password are going to be some combination of admin or nothing:

    username password
    admin admin
    admin blank
    blank admin

Like one of those combos above.

Is there a status tab on that model when you first log in? My dhcp client table is accessed by a button under that tab.

DHCP reservations are to reserve an ip for a specific client. You want to see the dhcp client table.

OK....so no one else is on the router. Sounds like those two IPs may have reservations made for those particular clients (did I say that backwards?)...

anyway, you can set up a MAC filter which will only allow those listed to access the wireless.

Under the wireless tab, MAC filter, enter your two MACs, then enable. Just don't forget, then wonder why your friend's laptop won't connect. You'd need to disable the filter for a LAN party or whatever.

    also...tech support online:

You get pretty good choices of answers when you do a search there.

Yes, that's what it does. Like I said, if you want anyone else to access, you'll have to add their MAC, or disable the filter temporarily.

Very important with our dang quotas!!! (were you kidding earlier that you don't have a quota on your bandwidth??)
We have a speed limit, but no download limit. I'm never going to connewct faster then 5 mb/s, but I can download, surf, view without limit other than that. We pay for a max connection speed. I could pay more, and go up to 10meg.
