I'm gonna be rooting for England the rest of the tourney, my dad was born there and I've been rooting for England soccer since I was little, but today at 2:30, all that is out the window.

    GO USA!!!

Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Huge blunder by the England keeper though. Pretty lucky goal, but I don't mind .

England knew goalie was their weakness but wow.

    We'll take it though.

I feel bad for the English keeper, but who cares. USA!

After the US conceded the early goal, I think we started to play a lot better. We held possession pretty well for us, I think.

Clark and Bradley were terrible IMO. Donovan, Dempsey, Altidore, Cherundulo all made some outstanding plays. Tim was Tim.

We are getting some real good looks. I think we can get another goal this half. But with the way our defense is playing we may need more than one...

Clark needs to be benched. He didn't do a single good thing.

Jozy's run was incredible, shades of what is to come from him. He'll be a world class striker before it is all said and done.

Gooch had a great second half.

Howard might be the best keeper in the world. Very high hopes for this team right now.

the match was stale - can't say either team is a front runner if they keep this style of play the rest of the tourney...

from all the teams played so far...Argentina is the one to beat...

Bradley and Clark were both bad. I think Torres really should have come in.

Lots of times the fast starter teams fizzle out and the ones who struggle a little at the start reach their optimal form as the month goes on, Italy didnt look like world beaters at the start too.

I wanted Torres in for Clark. Bradley I thought was much better in the second half.

Well high hopes for the US would be a quarterfinals appearance.

I think both teams were afraid to lose.

well, england were pretty ****e as well. that midfield is not going to get them anywhere. the wide players aren't creating anything and the centre is unbalanced. capello needs to get some balls and drop one of gerrard and lampard for carrick.

Slovenia and Algeria got nothing going on at all...they should be no threat to England nor US if they play like they've been so far...
