I'm very excited for them, it was just expected. This was just the official ok.

Congrats to JO and Ronnie

Now hopefully JO will be able to play in the game.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

This should have been Ron's second All star but at least he finally got the recognition he deserves.

Didn't Rik and Reggie make it the year Rik went behind the back with a pass to Jayson Williams?

I think so - I think Bird was also the coach that year.

Billy Knight (?) and Don Buse also were NBA all-stars in 1977. I know Boo-boo was one of them and I think it was Billy Knight, but I could be wrong here as I usually look this stuff up before I hit 'submit' but I don't have time to do that today...

Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

THis is the fifth time it will happen. I'm looking at the Pacers media guide and all of the other times have been mentioned. 1977-Done Buse and Billy Knight.....1998-Reg and Rik......2000-Reg and Dale........2003-Brad and JO.......2004-JO and Ron.

THis is the fourth time it will happen. I'm looking at the Pacers media guide and all of the other times have been mentioned. 1977-Done Buse and Billy Knight.....1998-Reg and Rik......2000-Reg and Dale........2003-Brad and JO.......2004-JO and Ron.
uhhh you sure about that number of "4th time" ??

just counting the years

anyway, Montieth had a "brain_dump" to this morning:

http://www.indystar.com/articles/5/117388-4855-036.html

in which article he wrote:

If Artest is selected, he'll join Pacers forward Jermaine O'Neal and the coaching staff in the game. It would mark the greatest representation by the Pacers since 1998, when Larry Bird's staff coached the game and Reggie Miller and Rik Smits played in it.
uhh yeah and uhh sowwy but uhh didn't we have Brad, JO and the full coaching staff there last year to?????

Either that or I live in several paralel universes at the same time

(wonder what i've been smoking lately)
