I'm not going to read the whole thread to see if this has been posted but people who lick their lips a lot when talking. Very annoying and distracting. Kobe and LL Cool J are the two biggest culprits of this. Get a glass of water guys. C'mon...

Oh, and when people say "these ones" when they can just say "these". Example: "I think it's these ones" when it should just be "I think it's these". Bad example, but you get the point.

People who cut me off in the middle of an explanation by saying "rightrightright" and then interjecting whatever they have to say.

OK, the word "right" is repeated so I guess you're kind of agreeing with me, but you're also using it in a way to shut up. That annoys me to no end.

I knew a Japanese woman who did that, except it was, "Yeah, yeah, yeah," in the tone of voice that implies boredom and impatience.

The automatic impulse was to be furious at her rudeness.

But then I'd catch myself and remember that she was really a courteous and well-mannered person. This was just a bad habit she'd picked up somehow from a cab driver or tour guide or something. I don't remember now if I ever mentioned to her that it sounded bad to say that, but I remember her saying it often.

    This one really bugs me.

    resign vs re-sign

If resign from my position with the company - it means I left the company. But if I re-sign with the company it means I signed a new contract. Bugs when when people use resign when it it re-sign

I know people can't really help their dialect, or accent of the English language. But your vs. you're doesn't bother me nearly as much as when someone pronounces either as "yer".

    Is that car yers?

    Yer not my father!

Not sure if I have said this already..

When people text me and we're in the middle of a conversation and they suddenly stop, but yet they are on facebook or twitter paying more attention to those.

That or if I send my girlfriend a text message or try to call and ask her a question or something, she screens the calls but she's on facebook.

My wife will call me at work and if I ask her to call back because I'm busy she gets huffy. I'm not busy all the time but she has a knack for calling when I am. I could literally have 30 minutes of work that HAS to be done that day and she will call me once all day and it will be during THAT 30 minutes.

People who get lost because they are relying on a GPS device rather than making any effort to know where they are going.

Not being able to park in your driveway because there is a male cardinal in the neighborhood who's convinced there are other male cardinals living in your rearview mirrors who are trying to invade his territory. His attempts to drive them out include pecking at the mirrors and taking a dump down the side of your car.......

I dated a girl like that. She would get mad at me because I would not sit there and talk to her because I was busy with work. I was such a horrible boyfriend. Thankfully my wife just texts me during the day if she needs something. I know that if she is calling me at work it is something serious.

When somebody calls you at 2pm and says they're driving though and want to leave something in your barn instead of hauling it across country and they'll be coming by between 8 and 10pm.

And then you call them at midnight, and they say, "We're on the road. We should be there by 10 o'clock or so." And you say it is already midnight and they say, "Yeah."

And then you call them again at 4am, and they say, "We're still on the road." And you ask where they are, and they don't know because they are only looking at the GPS device instead of the road. And when you finally get some information from they, it turns out that they've gone two hours out of their way and made you sit up while they fooled around driving without any sense of direction.

And now it is 4:17 and they still aren't here.

I cannot stand when people aren't dependable. When they say they will be there at 8 and don't show up until 8:30 or they don't show up at all.
