    Default Boozer?

Pacers trade: Murphy/Rush for Carlos Boozer

Pacers get a PF to team with Hibbert and Granger and can use the draft on X.Henry or trying to acquire a nice PG

Utah gets an expiring PF who can stretch the floor. A defensive minded SG that should fit well with Jerry Sloan and Deron Williams and still have Milsap, Okur and AK47 to add to the Knicks #9 pick

    Pacers:
    PG: draft/trade?, Ford, Price
    SG: D.Jones, draft/trade?
    SF: Granger, Dunleavy
    PF: Boozer, Hansbrough, McRoberts
    C: Hibbert, Foster, Solo

Dunleavy could even move back to the 2 if needed, and a SF was the best available in the draft.

    Jazz:
    PG: D.Williams, Price
    SG: Rush, Matthews
    SF: AK47/Miles
    PF: Milsap, Murphy
C: Okur, Fensenko, Koufos, draft? (Aldrich)

its a good trade, but the question is, why would Boozer want to do it. And you cant really use Murphy as an expirer as an incentive because Boozer is already expiring (the only way this would work is it Utah/Boozer agrees to a sign and trade.

Why would Boozer choose Indy over Miami/NY? He could have a chance to play alongside Wade (in Miami).

I think the Jazz would be more interested in Foster over Murphy. Over the past few seasons they have tried to pry him away from us.

Dont get me wrong, I would love this trade, but I just dont see it realistic

Murphy can produce as well though and fill the void at PF since Boozer is likely to leave anyways.

Miami has nothing to offer except Beasley. They would have to want to sign him out right, as would the Knicks.

If the Jazz want anything in return, they get a solid PF that can produce, and that they could even play at center at times. Rush solves some of their wing issues

Plus, if they are going to lose Boozer, then why would they take on extra salary next year just to lose him? They aren't going to hurt their LT position just to lose Boozer. They will probably end up letting Boozer walk for the flexibility. They will take a big man in the draft this year. Wes Matthews and CJ Miles are very underrated by most NBA fans. The Jazz like both of them as evidenced by trading away Brewer for nothing to avoid the LT.

Miami will be under the cap this summer. THey have JO's $23 million, Q-Richardson's $8.7 Million and Haslem's $7.1 Million (plus a bunch of smaller contracts). Im sure theyre first option would be Bosh, but if that doesnt work out, they'll probably offer Boozer a contract.

Utah matched Portland's offer to Milsap for this very reason

I like it but I don't see Utah or Boozer jumping at the idea.

It works, technically speaking, but do the Pacers really want to invest in a guy who stabbed a blind man in the back while in Cleveland and is essentially being run out of town in Utah? No. They do not. Let's leave other people's garbage alone.

Carlos Boozer is anything but a garbage basketball player. You must watch a different league than the one I do. He isn't being run out of town in Utah. They are just trying to figure out a way to not go into LT territory. They had plenty of trade interest last summer, but wouldn't pull the trigger. Boozer will command money this summer that will put Utah WELL into the LT territory, but they are going to try to keep Boozer around. Boozer would fit this team unbelievably well. Tough, hard working, smart, great shooter, back to the basket game, decent defender but doesnt block many shots as a PF. He is probably the best rebounder in basketball. I just don't see how he is garbage.

And also, the Jazz won't sign and trade him because to do so would put them into LT land unless they trade him to a team that is already under the cap, which means he could just sign with that team in the first place. It won't happen, unless Boozer can negotiate a sixth year out of some team. And even then Utah has no leverage to get anything of value. Possibly a second round pick or some cash for their troubles.
