    Default Indy NBA Summer League...

Just an FYI that the Indy NBA/Pro-Am Summer League will be returning again this summer at a new location: The IUPUI Gymnasium in downtown Indy!

A few players have already agreed to participate this summer including NBA All-Star Zach Randolph of the Memphis Grizzlies, George Hill of the Spurs, Daequan Cook of the Miami Heat and former Pacer Fred Jones. I would expect a few additional players to be added, perhaps including a few Pacers players as well as the possibility of Greg Oden, Mike Conley, Eric Gordon, Jeff Teague, Rodney Carney and maybe a few surprises too.

The league is officially sanctioned by the NBA and allows for NBA players and other players, including several former IU/Purdue/Butler/Ball State/HS players from Indiana to participate.

Best of all, admission is absolutely FREE! Also, an additional night of games has been added as you can now watch the players 3 nights a week and get your basketball fix. You usually have a chance to meet the players after the games, get autographs, etc. See the additional information below:

    Dates: June 29 - August 5, 2010
Days: Tuesday - Thursday - Saturday
    Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
    Location: IUPUI Gymnasium

I highly doubt he will. I think if things go very well, he'll just be ready to start training camp.

Wow, better players than last year, but I liked the Broadripple location. I went to two games last year and they were fun. I never saw Fred Jones, but Eddie Gill was there. Hibbert was supposed to show up for one of the games, but never did. Great to see they're still doing this!

I believe last year Jeff Green also showed up. I'm seriously thinking about attending one of these this year.

has anybody other than me realized that Zach Randolph has been taken off the list of Featured Players in the Indy Pro-Am??? I'm wondering if they told him not to show up and play because of his possible involvement in that drug situation??

Perhaps Zach is opting to stay away from Indy this summer and work out in LA?

By the way, the site lists the teams and players participating. Among the NBA players mentioned participating this summer: Jeff Teague, Roy Hibbert, Mike Dunleavy, Bonzie Wells, Sean May, Kwame Brown, Eddie Gill, Fred Jones, Danny Granger, Josh McRoberts, AJ Price (not now), Rodney Carney, Jeff Green, Ron Artest, DJ White, Eric Gordon and George Hiill. There's also a number of former Ball State, IU, Purdue, Butler, etc. players playing too.

I could see some additional players being added (Oden, Conley, Daequan Cook, etc.). Besides, this year the games are free!!! Need your basketball fix? This is the place to do so!

hasn't Daequan Cook already committed to playing in it? And by the way, do you have a link to the page that lists the players that have already committed to playing in this league, as you posted above??

I thought Cook had committed too, but didn't see him listed on a team roster.

Here's the link as there are a total of 6 teams competing this summer. You can click on each team number to see the rosters and the players I referenced:
