We gotta try and sign him to a 2-year deal or something, right?

If we were a run first team four years ago, yes!

Hopefully he's part of the Steelers offseason moves to rebulid the 2005 Super Bowl team.

Randel El, McFadden, Foote, Leftwich (well, he wasn't here in 2005 but you get the picture.)

    Two years/ six million?

The question on Faneca is not "can he play?" but "what's he worth?" He'd be an upgrade, play-wise, for at least 25 teams. Maybe more. But the Jets obviously realized they overpaid in a way that the Steelers -- who have a long history of taking care of their OLs -- wouldn't even touch. Had nothing to do with the play on the field and everything to do with dollars and sense/ cents. Then and now.

As much as I like Faneca I still think he would not do well here and I think we have made some moves this past offseason bringing in some bulk for that o-line and hopefully a new attitude toward the running game. I want to see our two-headed monster of Addai and Brown be productive this year.

Yep, signed with Russ Grimm at Steelers West. No surprise there.
