Did you just curse at me? I see I'm finally rubbing off on you.

    OK, I choose the L.A. Ri-Ettes:

This is potential off-topic PoY material.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

I see Fun Question Friday was a hit, I'll try to make this a regular Friday feature through the offseason.

let me see we could do Mundane question Monday, Terrible question Tuesday, Weird question Wednesday and throw-away question Thursday. Sorry that last one was really bad. I'll just stick with Fun question Friday - coming every Friday

And I was looking forward to stupid-question Saturday.

But not from UncleBuck. It would located in the trade proposal board with honorary host Sam Smith.

I wish the Pacers would develop the way the Thunder has.

I'd have to say the Hawks. Unlike the pacers, they had a successful 5-6 year plan and now they have great talent and have made the playoffs three years in a row.
And the walls came tumbling down.....

Wait a minute... are you giving Billy Knight credit (for employing the build-a-team-gradually-through-the-draft method that he learned from Donnie Walsh when they worked together in Indianapolis)?

Golden State Warriors minus their front office + coach---- so much potential laden there.

Weren't they out of the playoffs for a good decade before the past few years? I don't mind picking the Hawks, but I don't think they planned things out the way they happened.

Them being out of the playoffs around that decade has nothing to do with the question. The question said which current team and I like how the Hawks have played the last three seasons.

That was ownership, not management. I imagine if the Pacers' budget were really cut while the owners were fighting in court, we'd find out what a 15-win team looks like, too.

And during the final few seasons under Turner, they weren't spending much money either so that the potential buyers would find the "flexibility" more attractive.

If somebody wanted to buy the Pacers (or the Knicks as another example) during the past few years, the long-term salary cap Hell might have chased them off or caused them to issue a lower bid.

This, of course, is not unique to basketball. When a business is going to be sold, the seller always dresses it up to maximize proceeds.

Is funny to see that the guys that been saying for years that tanking and picking in a crapshoot draft are the ones jumping in the Oklahoma City bandwagon.

I can't really play this game. One of the things I like to do is watch a team grow, and I get really fond of a few players from time to time. So I don't wish we had any other team.

Right now I think we are a great point guard and a defensive post player away from contending. I think if you gave us Westbrook we would make the playoffs with ease next year.

If you twisted my arm and made me pick a team to replace the Pacers I would pick the Nets. No way would I want to be the Lebrons, Laker's, Celtics, Magic, etc.

Contrary to popular opinion winning isn't everything, it's the journey to get there. So I would start out with a young upcoming team.

The Nets have a young center, an all star point guard, a great draft choice, some core pieces, and a new owner with money to spend. They are on the way up.
Thanks for this post. I too believe the journey is what makes it interesting and would rather trade with a team that has a young developing core of players (thunder). I think that is why I like the pacers so much and why I always wind up rooting for the small market teams in the playoffs.
