    Default 24 cancelled....

    http://www.thrfeed.com/2010/03/fox-cancels-24.html

This season has been ok but I just hope fox looks for something else other than some other unscripted crapfest of dancing, singing or sleeping with whoever.

Probably the right time. Overall one of my favorite TV shows of alltime. It was groundbreaking and even though it didn't have any real depth in the chracters or storytelling, but for pure adrenaline rush, no show was ever better IMO.

With Lost and 24 leaving the networks, are there any serial type shows left. FlashForward and V are unlikely to return (although V has an outside chance). Desperate Housewives and Greys Anatomy two shows I've never liked are serials, but both have dropped in the ratings I would gues maybe have 2 more seasons tops.

seems like we will be stuck with reality and procedurals on the networks. OH well still have cable

Fringe is returning. That's all I can think of. ABC sure screwed the pooch in their handling of both V and FlashForward. They do it a few more times and they'll be the new Fox.

Chuck on NBC even though that's kind of a dramedy. Is Heroes still on?

    Sons of Anarchy

Then there's also the Shield that ran for seven seasons, if you never got into that.

Psych has become much less of a procedural and much more arc-driven this season.

Monk (my old avatar) ended its run well.

I continue to enjoy Burn Notice, although I'm probably the only one watching.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

Burn Notice is the highest-rated show on cable. It beats NBC most of the time. So no, you're not the only one watching.

As for Chuck and Heroes, they're not cancelled yet, but it's pretty much a given both will be.

    I like Burn Notice.

In Plain Sight is pretty good. Glad it's coming back.

Justified on FX has had a promising start. Worth watching. It could turn out to be really good.

House and Heroes aren't so bad. . . Hugh Laurie is a excellent Dr. House. I LOVE watching that show. Heroes also is okay. Both have different things that I like about them though. Ever since Stargate SG1 and Atlantis were canceled though I have not found a show (besides House) worth my time.

House is really a procedural with some arc stuff at the end of the seasons.

Are you serious? They going to be adding a fourth Seth MacFarlane-animated dysfunctional family sitcom with talking animals in the no so distant future.

I'm sure it'll be a lot better than most of the recycled garbage on TV. Then again most of MacFarlane's stuff is the same. It seems like only Monday nights on CBS have the most original programming. I'm tired of seeing court room, hospital, and police and detective dramas.

    Just my opinion.

I really like Justified so far. FX has some very good shows. Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, Justified are just a few.

I think this is the right time for 24 to end, i mean 8 seasons is nothing to sneeze at.

That's the problem with network TV, in my opinion. Court room and police dramas can be great shows but we're stuck with the same stuff. For the most part we get the Law and Order and CSI series.

Want an animated comedy? We're now pretty much going to get Seth MacFarlane rehashes.

My most memorable quotes from Futurama are so on...

    FRY
    Married? Jenny can't get married.

    LEELA
Why not? It's clever, it's unexpected.

    FRY
But that's not why people watch TV.
Clever things make people feel stupid,
and unexpected things make them feel
    scared.

    [Lrrr crackles onto the screen.]

    LRRR [ON TV]
    Attention, McNeal. Your unexpected marriage
plan scares us. You stole our hearts
as a single female lawyer, and so shall
    you remain -- or else!

    FRY
You see? TV audiences don't want anything
original. They wanna see the same thing
they've seen a thousand times before.

I liked Heroes the first season and then it went downhill.

I've tried to watch House, but that is a procedural to me. Plus Hugh Laurie gets on my nerves and I know i'm the only one, but he overacts his part, very distracting to me. Don't like it .

    I agree.

I also think it was the right time to go out. This show was becoming way to predictable, and I felt like some things just did not have the "wow" factor that it did when the show first came out.

It is neat they are going to run all remaining episodes commercial free.

Congrats to Kiefer Sutherland, and thank you. He was great as Jack Bauer, a role he almost turned down after the initial auditions for the show.

Should be neat to see how they wrap the show up.

I still have House on Monday nights. Oh, and UB I LOVE that show

Lie to me has gone down hill after season 1, but I will still watch that when it comes back

I will miss lost, but hopefully CBS brings numbers back, as I love that show on Friday nights.

I also realize I am probably way late to the party, but I just started watching Cold Case and I LOVE that show

Yet for fans of Jack Bauer, there remains hope. Studio 20th TV is developing a theatrical film that takes Bauer to Europe, and showrunner and executive producer Howard Gordon says other possibilities are being explored as well.
