The Central Divsions will be very competive in both the AL & NL

Twins have a new outdoor stadium and Nathan is out for the season.

Detroit is a huge ???? (Cabera, Guilen, Johnny Damon, Mags) (D Willis, N Robertson, Zumya)

Chisox Peavy & Rios both were non existent last season. What can they do?

    NL

Everybody is on the Reds and I refuse to crown them. They have let me down too many times. I don't trust the young nucleus of Bruce, Votto, Stubbs to carry them. Volquez in injured and Chapman has yet to pitch a game in this league. Rolen, Caberra, are great vets but on thier last straw. Cubs are losers. It is going to be interesting to see who gets fired first Dusty or Lou!!! Cardinals have the best player & pitching coach in the game. I pick them.

That's the first I've heard about that, but I agree with you. They aren't ready yet.

I think most "experts" are picking the Redbirds to win the division, but several have mentioned Cincy as their sleeper pick. I take that to mean that if everything as well as possible, the Reds could very well win, but the odds of everything going right are slim. I pretty much agree with that idea, they're more than likely, a year away. But at least the franchise seems poised for some success.

Go Cubs indeed. They are at their best when under the radar. Doesn't help in the postseason though. = (

I am actually optimistic. The Nationals are acutually beginning to spend some money ( we signed Pudge, Capps, and Marquis so far) and will look to add to that core next off season. We have a absolute ace in waiting in Strausberg, who should be up my June, and a great young crop of players (such as Jordan Zimmerman) who will be awesome in the years to come. Bryce Harper should be our first pick in the draft, effectively establishing us at the Catcher position once Pudge's contract is up. Pudge should also be great at mentoring all our young arms. Add Dunn, and Ryan Zimmerman to the mix and we should be okay on offense (especially with Morgan swiping bases for us). Give it two or three years and the Nats "should" be contenders.

Considering 'RADAR' wasn't coined as a term until 1940, it'd be more accurate to say the Cubs were at their best 32 years before radar.

    Oh so you're their fan!

Actually, if you don't mind me asking (if, in fact, you haven't blocked me yet), how did you end up a fan of the DC's finest?

I agree with this but wonder why in the hell he isn't starting the season with the Big club. If they have 5 pitchers better than him they're gonna win it all.

I was originally a Montreal Expos fan. . . . When the team moved I hedged on whether or not to support a different team. Thought about the Red Sox, Mariners, or Cubbies. In the end I decided that the team was still the same, it was just located in a different location. I still wish they were in Montreal ( I thought the strike killed the teams chances their though).

They are taking him slow they don't want to burn out that arm too soon. Also if he is in the minor leagues until June we have him for a extra season before arbitration kicks in.

This is deffintly going to be a NL powerhouse year espically in the central!!!! The Reds are looking tough, the Cards will as always be contenders, the Cubs look like they might be able to make somethign happen also!!!! As for the cheating AL...whocares!!!!

I think this will become a very exciting baseball season of unlikely heros!

    Nationals
They made a great trade with Pitt and brought over N Morgan for Milledge. I believe you paid too much for Marquis he was horrific after the allstar break last season and Chen Mei Wang is often injured. I enjoy Zimmerman and Dunn but your GM Bowen is awful.

The Reds as a sleeper I dont know Harang needs to be consistent the Reds have a great bull pen Rhodes, Masset, and Cordero are quality. Owings and Bailey pitched well recently but spring is spring and Bailey is Bailey. I will end up picking him late in a fantasy draft only to cut him and question my logic another year.

I sympathize for you Cubs fans, you guys keep rooting and hoping just like the loyal Reds fans. I really want you to make the Playoffs as a wild card because your team finds the best and most interesting ways of losing in the postseason.

Harang needs to be traded, then demoted to the minor leagues. I've never seen a franchise wait around so long for a player to "come around" as much as the Reds have done with Aaron Harang.

    Luckily Arroyo has come around.

Our GM isn't Bowden. all our current operations are being overseen by Stan Kasten, the former Braves VP of Baseball Operations. Bowden was fired last year.

Things are already looking brighter. Thanks I did not follow the Nationals that much last year till the Morgan trade. I will this year to see how Strausberg and Storen (Mark Patrick son's) are playing.

I like the Yankees reacquiring Johnson as DH and Granderson should be an upgrade over Damon and Caberra. Gardener needs to play well but they are in the toughest division Rays, Sox, & Yanks. The Orioles remind a little of the 2008 Rays. Young pitching with some stars on the cusp A Jones & Markalelis.

Went to an (Indy) Indians Game tonight... good game, a lot of fun. I can't remember the last time I went to one but me a few other folks went and had a great time.

I built my own burger... I went the more traditional route with american cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard while my friend had Chili, salsa, pepperjack cheese, and sauteed onions, and banana peppers. Fries were amazing!

Anyway, the tribe lost but fun was had and I hope to have it again soon!
