Yea this is a HUGE game for us. We need to lose if we want to maintain our 5th spot in the draft. A win puts us in 6th and Detroit would go to 5th...
These head to head games with the bottom feeders we are competing against for draft position are very important in that we need to lose them to keep our position.

I think so too. I've been hoping for a split with Detroit in the two remaining games. This is the one I thought we would win.

    Dammit, lose.

I watched the Pacers crate with El Pacero, and Brunner was all about saying, yeah, this is a tough spot, fans want the draft pick, but the team wants to play well and win. Get something going for next year, something postive. Well, we did that last spring and it lead to this bull**** of a season. We aren't going to get any better with a pick that isn't top 5.

    Play well, and LOSE.

Even when the tables are turned and losing is a postive thing, Detroit still gets the best of us.

We don't need a frickin win to make us feel better about next year !!! A better chance of a higher draft pick would do the job ... !!!!!!!!!

Only 1 assist in the first (from Ben Wallace nonetheless)? Motown is much better at tanking than we are.

I mean come on, there is nothing to play for this season, except for getting McRoberts, Hibbert, Rush and Price playing time, and if Tyler was healthy, playing him, too. Hell, Solo as well.

I want a top 3 pick, and I want it badly, it's something we can get excited about.

Why do you guys even watch the games? All of the young guys are playing, we are winning with the play of Hibbert and Rush, not to mention Josh just drilled a three. Just lighten up a bit . Keep in mind Dunleavy, Kwame Brown, Darko, and Thabeet are all top three picks. The draft is not everything.

Why is Granger playing? I hope he doesn't aggregate anything

I watch because I'm a fan of the Pacers, no matter what.

I see that the young guys are playing, I'm just wishing we could get the perfect combo of them playing well and an eventual loss.

I know the draft is not everything, as it took me a long time to take this stance, but what else do we have? Hoping the summer after this we get lucky with cap space? Getting some hopefully good talent would do wonders for this team. It's just we don't have many options at getting this team back to winning tradition.

I'd be happy with a win ( or loss ) if it we were playing AJ, BRush, Inferno, Granger, Hibbert and McRobert ( just to see if he's a good fit with this core of Players ) a good # of minutes together. If we win with Watson, Dunleavy and Murphy playing major minutes....great.....but honestly...whatever....it does nothing for me.

NOTE - This doesn't mean that I don't want the Team to win....it just means that I'd prefer to give minutes to our young Players and see if they can win ( or lose ) rather then give it to Players that won't be here beyond the 2010-2011 season.

The young players will improve and Danny was picked with what, the 17th pick? I would love a great draft pick myself but I was commenting due to the fact that when I read thought this thread prior to that post virtually every post was someone voicing there displeasure with the team playing well. I mean Rush scoring 10 in the first quarter should have made someone happy. Just a little variety would be nice.

I pretty much want the same thing. I do expect, however, that the PF who replaces Murphy in the starting lineup is not yet on this team or at least not on the active roster. I like Mcroberts but I don't expect him to be more than a solid backup. With this said I have no issue with Murphy serving as a placeholder for this position as long as Mcroberts continues getting minutes. We do still have next season and trade value to worry about.

Yeah, Danny was taken with the 17th pick.

Also, I'm bit of low of Rush, I wish it was McRoberts that had the 10 points in the first QTR or Price.

It's hard for me to want the team to lose as bad as i know we need the high draft pick. I just try to enjoy watching the team when they play well and hope for the best in the lottery. I can't get too worked up over something I have no control over.
