Jack apologist act as if the reason the winning teams he is on is solely because of him. I do not think he is the MVP. I think Wallace is the MVP.

And I think Baron Davis is the MVP of GSWs of old.

And I think when he was a Pacer, we had a month of an elite winning team. And he was not the MVP, Ron Artest was.

Now that doesn't mean he is not important or overrated. He needs scorers around him. But he is vital to team defenses. He is the hub of defenses at times.

. In my opinion, the reason that the game watching/attending fan got down on him over time was for the number of times he would not get back on D because he was too busy mouthing to the refs and the times when he showed Rick direct disrespect on the bench or in huddles (though I know he didn't mean harm to Rick by it, it looked like it). You take those traits as a player who plays emotionally and it gets the best of him, add in the off-court stuff, and the picture of a knucklehead gets into your head. Those two things are what soured me on Stephen, much moreso than anything else.

    Bring on Cousins Pacer fans.

You should feel that way about JO. The dude left it on the floor for us.
No No No.... JO put his mouth into playing for the Pacers....
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Not to mention him wanting that max contract instead of working with management to save a little money cost us Brad Miller.

As much as we want everyone to take one for the team, this is huge money at stake for these guys. You can't blame JO for wanting to get as much money as possible. Just like you can't blame Brad for taking as much as he could get... therefore leaving Indiana.

The Pacers weren't going to pay Brad Miller that kind of money no matter what their financial situation was. Signing Jermaine didn't cost us Brad.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

He wants people to judge by his game? Has he checked his FG% lately?
    Or turnovers.

I primarily judged him by his game. He's streaky and turnover prone. And only plays defense when he wants to. And dominated the ball. So every five or six games he'll give you a really nice one. Its the other five that I never liked.

And when your game isn't that good, you aren't worth the off-court and angry-at-the coach and fans hassle that comes with him.

But the game-related issues always came first.

There are plenty of reasons we disliked you, Stephen, and the off-court crap was only a small part of it. And by the way, you earned every bit of dislike that you recieved. There was a point in time that I believe you were trying to turn the Indiana fans against you.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you
