OpenDNS is a web browner, correct?
Nope. It's kinda technical, but basically DNS is the web's address book. It's what translates actual web addresses (like 129.465.501.461) to stuff like www.google.com. When you type www.google.com, your web browser (no matter which one) goes to its nearest DNS name server and translates that text to a set of numbers the machine understands.

Basically there's a problem with the address book. Luckily, though, SycamoreKen figured it out and Hicks fixed it.

grid9 is a domain of mine, but not used for anything anymore,. babbage used to be a ns but that is many years ago. how it got stuck in the pd dns i have no idea, because i removed it from dns at least 5 years ago.

but my renewal and hicks' removal should have solved the problem, though Hicks' action makes the solution permanent
