Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.
- Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
- Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
- Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.
Enjoy your time at PD!
...Just backing you up in that same belief....
If a majority of a forum has a certain view it isn't a stretch to think others in the media might have the same view as well. People are basing their opinions on the same basic body of evidence.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread reading...
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.
"A player who makes a team great is more valuable than a great player. Losing yourself in the group, for the good of the group, that’s teamwork."
BK was also saying that it looks like JOB is trying to get fired, that he does not care anymore and that he know that if he gets fired he would get pay anyway and that the players already gave up on him.
A lot of their comments are pretty much what we been talking about here.
Wells is an idiot who writes like some 3rd grader. The guy can't put together a coherent sentence half the time and the 'analysis' is so bad I always expect to see something like "Run Danny run" somewhere in his article.
BK, on the other hand, like him or not, is quite articulate and funny...in an 'Ann Coulter' kind of way.
so, where's the george foreman grill everyone's talking about?

“People talk about how quiet he [McKey] is, but he’s really been helpful. He gives a lot of insight to players in how to guard certain teams and what their weaknesses are. The whole team listens to him, and it makes my job a lot easier. Having players like him is what pro basketball is all about for me.” —Larry Brown
Well there is writing style and writing content. I think Wells knows the NBA and the Pacers far more than Bob "who is Chuck Person" Kravitz.
The team has one NBA ROY in it's history and the dude was rather nationally famous thanks to his dual with Bird, which included Bird's last hurrah face plant and heroic return. Might be nice if the local sports writer knew that. He didn't, on his own radio show for all to hear.
The only time I read anything he writes now is when it's pasted over here, and I try to avoid even that. I long ago made good on the "well if you don't like it, don't read it". Lobbing grenades to get a reaction is 4th grade fart joke talent, not humorous writing.
How sad is that eh? WTF Bob...
