Thread: Anybody been to Belize?

  1. #1

    Default Anybody been to Belize?

I'll be there for about 10 days as of Sunday. Any suggestions? I'm staying around San Pedro, right at the bottom of the peninsula.

I have some normal plans: Snorkeling here (http://ambergriscaye.com/pages/town/greatbluehole.html), taking a day-trip into Guatemala to see the Mayan ruins in the Eastern part of the rain forest.

Any hidden stuff I should know about and try to do?

Sweabs, I'm bringing the portable webcam.

    Snorkeling is fun.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

You have a woman coming with you? What did you do to her?

I don't get it. I've never done anything to derail a thread and I get this? Unbelievable and in no way karma.

Who asked you to bring a portable webcam? You brought this on yourself (and sweabs apparently)

My only suggestion is not to get some weird diseases. And I do think snorkeling is fun.

This time, could you please ensure you have a working connection at all times? The last time you tried something like this, the webcam feed would cut out when you'd use the washroom.

By the way, this might be the best use of "not to scale" ever:

(I've never been, by the way. So...I'm glad I could help. Have fun though).

Make sure you take plenty of duct tape and rope so the girl doesn't get away. The humidity will affect the tension of the ropes and tape.

    Have fun!

Belize City, and I think it's on the 16th, so I don't think we overlap.

    And it's on Royal Caribbean.

Btown, It doesn't matter where you go. The concierge at the hotel will help you find plenty of activities. Just make sure the activities involve water, dirt or luxury. In other words, ANY excuse to get wet, need to take a shower or need a change of clothes.

This includes snorkeling, hiking, swimming, surfing, mani/pedis, going out to fancy dinners, laying in the sand, and let's not forget mud wrestling.

The fun you have on this trip will be directly proportional to the number of trips you take back to the room for showers and wardrobe changes.

Mark my words, my friend. You do these things and the clothes come off more often. Then sex becomes like punctuation in the paragraph of your day.

If you can get to Belize City. You can sign up to go "cave tubing", It's freaking fun as hell. For those on cruise ships, this is not available as an activity(at least on carnival), but you can get a guide on the coast. Only 50 bucks.

Also, in Belize City. There are tour guides that offer "river boat excursion". You will see a ton of wild life and Mayan ruins. Really beautiful if nature is your thing. Plus, it's good for older folks or people who aren't adrenaline junkies like me. About 70 bucks. I have only spent a day there, so that's all I know.

The prices on jewelry and booze are unBelizable.

Older folks?!!? Back in my day.....

I don't know that I'll get much time in Belize City, but I may take the water cab back for a day then. Good suggestions, thank you.

No problem. I loved Belize. Hope you do too.

P.S. not implying anything with the older people comment, for I have no idea how old you are....now I have an idea.

Just thought of another piece of advice.

Don't do too much on any given day. Do a fun morning thing and maybe a fun afternoon thing and then call it a day and relax the rest of the time. If you aren't having cocktails by 4 or 5:00, you're doing it wrong. The worst words you can possibly hear come out of her mouth are these: "I am SO tired. I could go to sleep right now."

If you spend all her energy showing her a good time, she might not have any left to show you a good time.
