Mike's knee is not an excuse for his struggles (Bruno) - Page 3
He doesnt which is why I said I kind of agree with what DC said earlier. What I was giving was the reason why he doesnt. He talks like a coach talks. He critizes systems and attitude which to be honest are very vague. Being the oldest son of a coach and being around the NBA his whole life to me this makes sense.
I read it that Mike blames the offensive system and the other players running it. Maybe that's true, but I am a little disappointed in how he's externalizing it.
Dunleavy may be pain-free and clinically cured, but he isn't nowhere near game shape. Body may be fit (maybe), but there's no match sharpness. Mind and body are not in line, so you have poor decision making which is the staple of his game. The main reason the Pacers can't play the same motion type of the past is because Dunleavy's offensive role had to be replaced by guys like Hibbert, Jones, etc,. who tend to stop the ball + they have no playmaker or off-the-ball player of his calibre.
