"Indiana will not have its top scorer, Danny Granger, tonight against the Mavericks at American Airlines Center.

He did not make the trip and will miss the game because of personal reasons.

In his last six games Granger is averaging 29.3 points a game. He had 20 points in a November loss to the Mavs to lead the Pacers. "

I'll say they're tanking if Danny sits out a couple dozen more games.

Lose. Just as we would have if he played.

    Personally he's sick of playing.

More seriously, I hope it's nothing too serious. Often this means family health issues.

Indiana Pacers leading scorer Danny Granger will miss tonight's game at Dallas for undisclosed personal reasons and his return date is unknown.

Granger scored 36 points Saturday at Houston.

Mike Dunleavy will start in Granger's place.

T.J. Ford will be a game-time decision because of a left groin injury suffered in the second half of Saturday's game.

Granger has been suspended for scoring 36 points in a win. Wins are prohibited at this point in the season.

Seriously, I hope there aren't any serious illness issues in Granger's family or friends.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Yes certainly, his play has been deserving of starting for a long time now.

Would one of you O'Brien defenders remind me again that defense is his top priority.

Offense must not be either because Dunleavy has been both our worst defender and likely are worst offensive player. So he should get at least 35 tonight.

I wouldn't make those assumptions just yet. This is as good of a night for Troy/Dun/TJ to get 48 as any.

This has the makings of one of the worst losses in club history, now there is some hype for ya.

Think of the match ups though. Murphy on Dirk, Dunleavy on the Shawn Marion.

That's not even getting to Jason Kidd and Jason Terry matched up with Earl Watson and Luther Head/D. Jones. On the other side of the ball Brandon Heywoode is a good defensive Center that should give Big Roy much trouble. This one could get ugly early and often.

Otherwise, I hope everything is okay. Danny is important to us, but to his family he is more important to them.

No kidding. DJones - SIGNED FOR FOUR YEARS. Just signed. Freshly acquired to specifically play SG/SF defense.

Dunleavy - shooting 31% from 3 on the year to go with overall play so poor that we wonder if he's still hurting and hiding it.

And thanks to only taking half a 3 per game, DJ's 18% from 3 doesn't really impact him. And his drives to the lane have his Points Per Shot ABOVE DUN'S! So why would any coach start Dun over DJ right now?

DJ is better now and was signed to a deal that says he's part of the future.

His return date is unknown?? That makes it sound like he could miss more than just this game. I wonder what is going on?

    And Mike Dunleavy starting?
    WTF Jim, WTF...
I'm sorry Uncle Buck and whatever other supporters of our coach there are, really I think it is just Buck, but he is a moron. There I said it. Yes, our coach is a moron.
