Forget Dampier. You know who would fit great on this team?

    Cliff Robinson.

He's got one year left at 5 mil. How much would we have to include to get him for Pollard?

I would love to have Cliff Robinson, I liked him when he was in college. Not sure I want to admit this, but back when Dick Versace was the Pacerss coach and Cliff was in the draft, I called a local radio show when Versace was a guest and told him that the Pacers should draft Cliff. Forget who they took that year.

I don't know if I would give up Pollard anymore, now that Shaq is in the east. Though Cliffy would definitely be welcome.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Hey, any guy whose name is Clifford and is still in the NBA after 15 years is fine by me. He was with Portland from 89-97; with Phoenix from 97-01; with Detroit from 01-03; with Golden State 03-04...

And excluding the strike year, the least amount of games he has played in is 75. Looks like he's a pretty injury-free guy. He's primarily a starter, starting 801 of 1,179 games. And he dropped 50 on the Nugs in 2000. His season high this year for points was 35. Compared to Jeff's scoring numbers, Cliff is far and away better. (15.5 career PPG) But as far as rebounds go, he's a career 4.8 per game guy, while Jeff is a 5.6 per game guy. Hmm, not as impressive as I thought.

But as far as stats per 48 minutes go:
    Cliff 23.1 PPG, 7.2 RPG
    Jeff 11.7 PPG, 15.4 RPG

Cliff is a good guy. This late in his career he's a defensive specialist. He'll hurt you sometimes jacking up bad shots and with his god-awful defensive rebounding, but as a post defender there are few players better.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Which is why I'd love to have him be a backup F/C for us. (He does play a tiny bit of C, doesn't he?)

You see I thought this thread was going to be about Troy Murphy. I was getting excited & then read that you guys wanted Cliff Robinson.

    Actually, I would like Dunleavy.

Yeah, I'd love to get Murphy, but he's untouchable by Golden State.

Back to my original question, though... how valuable is he to Golden State at this point? What would we have to add to move Cro or Pollard for him?

A trade that works per RealGM

    Indiana sends Cro to GS

    for

    Cliff Robinson and Speedy Claxton.

(BTW, Cliff has 1 year left on his contract)

BTW, GS would be down right idiotic to do that trade. I don't care how much Mully likes Cro, you don't give up an expiring contract to get Croshere.

Yeah, that trade needs just a tad of sweetening.

The problem is that I think we're out of sweetener.

Why do we need Speedy Claxton? Is he going to start over Tinsley? I don't see the need for a 3rd PG that is deserving of major mins.
