Default Kaman selected to the All Star team

Of any player rumored to be on the block I think Kaman is one of few we might actually be able to land with a combination trade around a couple of expiring contracts. He's been a borderline All Star for a while now, it's nice to see him break through that barrier. I don't see Kaman getting a lot better but he's young enough to play at this level for a long time and be part of a long term plan past 2011.

Los Angeles Clippers center Chris Kaman was named to the Western Conference All-Star team, replacing Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy, who has an injured right hamstring.

The game, Feb. 14 in Dallas, will be Kaman's All-Star debut.

"He is averaging a career-high 20.2 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field.

Kaman is the first Clippers player to be chosen to the All-Star Game since Elton Brand in 2006."

Good for him, he has elevated his play year after year. Too bad he is onthe clippers, I agree that we could use him here. I'd probably trade hibbert to have him. Can we send Murphy and Hibbert for him?

Remember when Kamen first came into the legue with his stringy long hair, I always thought, man that guy will amount to nothing with that nasty hair. Now look at him, he got a hair cut several years back and started playing alot better.

If we could work a trade in which we keep Hibbert and Granger we'd be set in the front court for many years to come. Kaman could start at the 4 against most teams with Hibbert at the 5. I think Kaman would lead the league in rebounding in that lineup, even sharing the court with Camby he still averages over 9 boards per game. Roy's blocks would go up and Kaman could man the post up players. We'd need a quick big man to come off the bench for certain defensive assignments.

I'd put Monta Ellis over Chris Kaman in the All Star game.
"I keep wondering the same thing. Last week they had the 4th worst record in the league, had an 11.9 percent chance of winning the lottery and were in line to land a franchise type player like Derrick Favors or DeMarcus Cousins. This week? They have a 1.7 percent chance of winning the lottery, have the 8th worst record and are in line to draft Cole Aldrich or Greg Monroe. Way to go Jim O'Brien. Rest Danny Granger the rest of the season (if it isn't too late) and give Josh McRoberts lots of minutes. That ought to do it." - Chad Ford on winning meaningless games

Way to go Jim, you may have just put our franchise back another 4+ years.
