    Default Buzzerbeater

Anyone here who plays the online basketball manager game Buzzerbeater?

Imo 1 of the better manager games nowadays. It has a truly beautiful live match viewer, seems like you are watching online a true basketball match. See link so you get the idear how it works: http://www2.buzzerbeater.org/match/1...spx?realtime=1

You play 2 competition games a week and a cupgame per week.

You can train youth, sell and buy players, play different tactics like R&G, push the ball, princeton, low post and look inside and you can play international games when you become a champ in your own country. There is also a national team and U21.

Would be nice if some members already play the game, or willing to do, so we can talk about it..

    www.buzzerbeater.com Take a look.

My team name is Dutch Pacers. Feel free to ask if you need some help to get started.

Its free. If you want you can become a supporter for a little amount if you want, but being a supporter doesnt give you a in-game advantage.

I signed up about 10 days ago and have spent almost all of my cash buying up players with a good potential rating in hopes of being a future contender. I'm the East Gary Eagles. Any hints?

Could you list your players, so i can give you some advice about the proper training to follow and the tactics you should play.

I got a team after seeing this.

    http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/22972/overview.aspx

The players I added myself were Jose Champion ($200,000), Hristo Petkov ($50,000), and Calogero Provenzale ($150,000). Good buys, or spent too much? Curious.

Any advice would be good. Ha. I'm curious how to handle Brad Vick (superstar potential, but needs work) and You Lien only has starter potential, and is 18 years old but right now he's a beast for me. He's averaging 25 points and 10 rebounds per. Which one is a better prospect? The 20 year old with Superstar potential but not very good, or the 18 year old with starter potential, but is developed?

I play, not on the level of DEEman, his team is a beast, but moving up gradually, Team ID 95204, 3rd level league in Lithuania.

My advice for a starter would be getting an advanced trainer, they are cheap with low salary and offer most bang for the buck for a starter. The current season is nearing the end so i'd wait and save a little money for the start of next season, because there's gonna be a boatload of young players for sale after the draft. I would target two or three cheaper 18 year olds with allstar potential and up. They should be either bigmen or guards, because you want to train them at one or at most two positions (example: don't train passing for the whole team, train only the ones playing the point guard position, best case scenario: 3 games a week, 3 players with 48 minutes each at that position). After a season or two you can sell all or one of them, to buy better young players or to shore up your other postions with vets. A season of training can add roughly a million to their value.

At the end of the season there's a draft list, i personally invest 10k in the scouts weekly, gives me enough info to have decent drafts, if your'e lucky you can draft a player with MVP potential and up, they go for good prices on the market or you can have homegrown talent.

Looking at your leagues, you could easily win them next season and move to a higher level, where there's bigger tv contracts, merchandise sales and attendace will rise and the more $$ the better.

Also skim through the Important Threads thread in the help forum for good info on what trains what skills and other info.
