Default Hornets Trade Brown To Bulls For Gray

The Hornets have traded guard Devin Brown to the Bulls in exchange for center Aaron Gray, according to front office sources.

The trade is expected to become official later on Monday.

New Orleans nearly traded Brown to Minnesota in December, but the deal could not satisfy salary-cap requirements unless Brown agreed to waive a portion of the trade kicker in his contract.

The deal will give the Hornets a small amount of luxury-tax savings, but it also gives them an extra big man off the bench in Gray.

The Hornets will have to make at least one more trade before the Feb. 18 trading deadline to get under the league's $69.9 million luxury-tax threshold.

i read on espn earlier this day that gray was mentioned as a backup center for denver and that they nearly agreed on trading for him, so i guess it is good for the pacers front office if they are interested in trading foster to the nuggets.

Unless a 3rd Team is involved......there is very little that we would likely get from the Nuggets that they'd want to part with. Lawson ( unfortunately ) is a pipe-dream.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Read NO needs to shed $0.6 million more to get below the luxury tax and, in term, "make $5-6 million via lux tax sharing.

Actually, Peterson makes less than Jeff so they would be adding salary in that scenario.
