Rivalry renewed? Either way, Jerebko's my new favorite Piston - in that I hate him already, but in a healthy way.

Luther Head should not have played tonight.

The moral to this story is that the Pacers are bad and the Pistons are worse. The sad thing is that the Pacers have the most talented player in Granger, but overall the Pistons have more talent as a whole. The Pistons team just didnt look like they gave a damn.

That brings up a good point...what the hell happened with Charlie V. He was such a big deal in Milwakee but he completely fell off the map.

I thought the first few minutes of the game were some of the most poorly played I've seen. Fortunately the Pacers woke up. Nice effort by Rush.

I'm not sure we would have got it together against a better opponent, though.

A nice win (or two) against Philly would sure hit the spot.

I know, I know, plus-minus is an oversimplified stat.

But holy cow did we outscore them with Roy in the game.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

He's off and on. I think he's an ideal 6th man.

He looked awful tonight, but 2 nights ago against Boston he was nails.

He's been battling plantar facitis all season, which has sapped his quickness. He can still shoot, though.

BTW, I think the piling on of Ben Gordon is a bit ridiculous. He was very, very good before he got hurt. it's real easy to bash him when he's on the inactive list.

What are you expectations from him? I think if you expect an allstar or a 15-20 pts a night you are setting the bar to high! Brandon is nothing more than a role player like the majority of the league.

Jarred Bayless, the only reason Y our organization traded him is b/c Larry thought he could trade Tinsley and/or Ford and be able to keep Jack. The hand was shown and no other team took the bait. Keep in mind Mc Roberts is still our youngest player and best transition and passing big man and we had JJ for a season. It is not Rush's fault no other team in the league wanted to take on the contracts of Tinsley or Ford.

Only bust so far out of that draft drafted b/f Brandon is Joe Alexander!!

Luther Head acted somewhat odd tonight.

I still enjoy watching AJ out there. He has a lot to learn, but his potential seems very high.

See what I mean? I said this in the other Post-game thread for another game......I wouldn't notice if he was playing or not. He's an acceptable 4th/5th Big Man...but that's about it.

We played great for the 1st, 3rd and 4th QTR....but the 2nd QTR....was terrible. I'm guessing that JO'B pulled out the same speech that he used at the end of the last game during half-time just to wake the Team up.

With all due respect to our resident Pistons fan....the Pistons ( for now ) aren't that good. I'm guessing that they ( like us a month ago ) are just hindered by injuries. I really feel bad for Tayshaun and Rip.....if there is anyone that seems to be going through the motions....it's them. They still are the same old Tayhaun and Rip....hit every shot and executing when they're supposed to....but they just seem out of place on the current version of the Pistons.

I would like us to get a top 3 draft pick.

With that said, I always want to see us beat the Pistons. Especially in the Palace.

Agreed. There has never been a time where beating the Pistons has come with so many mixed emotions.

This was a good win. It's nice to kick the Pistons in the mouth.

However, I really hope that O'Brien noticed that it was our 2 PG lineup that was letting the Pistons back in the game. I like both Watson and Price a lot, but asking either of them to guard Stuckey or Hamilton is a little silly.

What strikes me the most about the Pistons right now is that their future core players, as a group, just look ridiculously soft. Gordon is one of the top 10 scorers in the NBA, but doesn't play a lick of defense. Charlie V. is little more than Troy Murphy lite, he's got better lateral quickness, but seems to lack desire to really make an impact other than with his shooting. Austin Daye can really score the ball, but probably gets knocked over by the wind when Ben Wallace runs by.

Jerebko and Summers seem to have some fire in their guts. Summers was especially impressive playing the passing lanes in the 4th quarter.

Roy's getting a little too ambitious with his passing sometimes.

I'm really not sure if Rush or Granger was better last night. They were both very, very good.

I believe that he had a hell of a Sophmore year in Milwakee. I just remember there being a lot of talk when he went to Detroit for some reason.

The first part about playing Price and Watson at the same time was immediately a noticeable failure. Maybe the most frustrating part about the way JOb "manages" the game. McBob could have easily gone in there to help the defense since we had a huge lead...but I guess that makes no sense at all....

As for the Pistons picking up Gordon and Charlie V, I'm just glad they did it. Doesn't make any sense at all...particularly for the Pistons, a team usually built the right way...with good defenders. Ha, I think they've fallen more than the Pacers thanks to those acquisitions.

As for Rush, he seems to be waking up again...like last year. Let's hope he tears it up the rest of the season. I don't think I've seen him that aggressive before.
