Default Manning or Leaf? Still hilarious

    http://www.nydailynews.com/archives/...e__who_s_.html

I found this old article before the 1998 draft. I think that any "football guy" that ranked Leaf ahead of Peyton should never be allowed to work in football again. Like this expert:

Bills GM John Butler would take Leaf. "He takes some hits and can buy extra time with his exceptional strength," he said. "He can look off people and get it done. You like the big, strong guys. It's a tough game where you take a lot of punishment."

That's right, Peyton has no pocket presense. lmao. I also like the strengths and weaknesses section towards the end.

This is some good foreshadowing here:

""If there is a more impressive guy in the country than Peyton Manning, I would be shocked," Bucs coach Tony Dungy said.

It's strange to hear them talk about the "big, strong guy", and realize they're talking about the druggie and not the 6'5", 250, laser-rocket arm.

Ryan Leaf is why I always trust in Polian. If I were in charge, we'd have drafted Leaf AND Ricky Williams so that shows what I and a bunch of other people know.

And I'd like to add that it's really hard to feel sorry for SD over the Leaf pick since the two QB's they've made significant investments in since finsihed 2nd and 3rd in the MVP voting this year.

    LOL

Manning or Leaf? The Colts will soon answer that question. But it will take until the next century to find out if they were right
Actually .... it didn't even take 2 years. lol
