Default Who will bring the energy now?

Im not talking about the point production Al Harrington brought, but the enthusiasm that he brings to the team. There were/ are few players on the team that got the rest of the guys going like Harrington did. The crowd is great, but who will fill the void that a teammate with great energy brings to the team? Especially after a great dunk or defensive stop. Opinions?

    The Difference.

Every time he comes into the game, I sense his energy, or maybe it's his panic?

No, really. JayBee will take Al's spot methinks and when he touches the ball, the crowd pays attention. We all want to see what he will do because he, literally, can do anything on the basketball court. They want to see the "Boy Wonder."

edit: If you go back to the Jazz/Pacers game at Conseco this season, you'll see that Jon can get the crowd up on its feet in just a few minutes of play. I think he had 15 points in three minutes.

Artest and foster bring the energy, but I guess you are asking who will bring it off the bench.

Jackson will. Maybe in a different way, he does bring a certain flair

I personally think the rookies and Freddie will bring the energy off the bench. Bender will bring scoring and defense but he doesn't exude energy - it is all so effortless for him.

When things get bad it seems like Al was the only one who would try to keep everybody spirit above water or like Btown colt said he would be a drag. Im interested to see who will get the team pumped up.

Almost anyone on the team can.

Reggie does with his big shots...I could go on and on, but all you have to do is think about how each player brings energy.

I am going to say Jamison Brewer, if kept.

He will fight for the ball. A true warrior.

I like Brewer as well, but I don't know if he will get many minutes if he is kept.

That was against Sacramento where he scored 15 points in something like 8 minutes. Of course he got injured in that game and never returned to form after that. ed:

Bender injured IS his form. Therefore, after the surprising offensive outburt he was injured and returned to the player we've seen for 5 years now.

Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

Rat, save that picture for the whole 'AJ vs FJ as the backup PG debate'.

Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

As a non-Pacer fan, I can tell you that losing Al seemingly makes your team less intimidating. No matter how good a starting line-up looks a team needs someone like Al to come off the bench. I'm not saying that every team needs someone as good as Al, but it does need some type of threat. Does Indy have that now? I don't think so, but I'm sure your homers will disagree.
Personally I think Al was overrated, not just lately for a while. He has a bad +/- when he was on the court. Just curious, what team are you a fan of? Why are we homers?

After seeing the article today and watching the press conference yesterday, i believe Jackson will come in and fill a similar spot that Harrington left. Jack looks like he is a funny guy and that would get the crowd hyped and his teammates as well. We didnt lose anything in this trade except that Al is a couple of years younger than Jackson.
