    Default Youtube Embeds

    for some reason whenever i see a youtube video embedded - all i see is a white square...does this happen to anyone else?

    Yeah, they're messed up.

    I'm going to just remove it altogether since it's just as easy to copy/paste the embed code provided on the video's youtube page.

    Are they messed up for everyone? I'm seeing and posting them just fine using the youtube tags.

    so how do you copy/paste the embed code?

    No, but we'll soon be upgrading to vbulletin 4, and it seems to have built-in support for youtube, hulu, and a handful of others.

    When we upgrade, they'll be another icon above where you type your quick reply, it will be a film strip icon. Click that, there'll be a place to paste the URL of your video, and then you click okay and it's ready to go.

    Otherwise, you can do what currently works here in vB3: Just copy/paste the embed code provided on the video's original website.
