...is the defense. I realize that we got much better last year, but I don't see us doing anything to improve ourselves. I know Polian and Dungy have been saying to improve within us, but do you think that our defense this year is going to be better than last, especially since we lost Washington and Harris and more? It worries me.

I think Washington and Harris were not very good; in fact, I was glad to lose Walt. I will miss Chad Bratzke. If our offense can be like it was in 1998 or 1999, then I will not be worried at all...Bring back 3rd-Down Jerome Pathon!

I dont think that the defense improved either. Hopefully this recent 10th pick in the draft(packers) Jamal Reynolds can sure up the other end spot. We are really thin up front. As much as i like Freeney he runs up the field too much causing a huge whole for the opposing teams running back. If we had one huge stud DT and MLB we would be a force to reckon with. Rob Morris just doesnt cut it. Anytime the GM says he is serviceable its time for that person to go. We need more than serviceable.

I would kinda like to see Mathis starting at the other DE spot. I hope all goes well with Jefferson, he is the only guy with size in our secondary besides Bashir, but I see Sanders taking over his job early in the season. I think our defense has improved, our weaknesses are the DTs and MLB. ROB MORRIS SUCKS!!! I hope somebody takes over his starting spot and soon!

He is a little small, but I heard that he has really bulked up some. I'm not sure as a starting DE, but I would like to see him get more PT.

You can't spend the mother lode of your salary on offense and expect it to carry you to the championship. You have to hope that your offense doesn't suffer an 'off' game at the wrong time because the defense won't be there to keep you in the game. ...And you have to hope the other team doesn't have a defense suited to stop your vaunted offense.

Offense gets the press.... defense gets the trophies.

Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Though as our defense is improving, we are getting closer and closer to the title. And if we improve again this year, we will definitely win.

I don't know that much about football, except that defense is more important in football than it is in basketball and most of you know how important I think defense is in the NBA.

Yeah, their defense had improved. And ours is improving as well. So I am optimistic.
